I visited LA and had "Universal Studio" tour. Now I got the Idea, we should have "Slum Tour" in Mumbai. For most western tourist this will be "novelty" tour. No need of "Indiana Jones" theme tour in LA. Mumbai has real "local train" ride. Real 'road crossing' experience. After that walk through dirty lanes "real" experience!! Real money's worth. Experience like no where else.

Hello! Just found your channel today while discovering tourists in India on KZbin-I felt so bad for the little 🐶 puppy! Anyways, I always look for a backstory or why people began traveling, so I tried to see if you had anything posted about yourself & how you decided to start w traveling. Do you have any videos on this or would you consider doing a video about yourself? I know some people don’t go there, but if you would, I think it would be a cool 😎 video! Your videos are so peaceful 😉

Those guided slum tours are tourist traps and unethical in my opinion. However you score big points for exploring Dharavi on your own and try to bring the human side of people who live there. It takes a lot of courage for a single woman to explore Dharavi on your own.

@inayatbilgrami29174 жыл бұрын
There is a misconception that only poor people reside in slums. Actually rich and poor both reside. The house you visited were well off people. In most of the slum houses you would find all the basic comforts today like, fridge .TV washing machine. Italian tiles, marble. Furniture, kitchenware, even AC. The only thing is that these are overpopulated, congested unplanned and unhygienic as most houses are unauthorised and unplanned construction. Due to space crunch and very high real estate prices in Mumbai even middle class standard people live in slums. Actually there many small units in Dharavi producing different type of goods where hundreds of people are employed.Daily crores of rupees rolling takes place. Sometime you should visit the leather market in Dharavi famous for leather goods.It was on the main road where you find ladies purses, leather bags, belt, etc. Cloth market is also there.
@pgworldkitchen91484 жыл бұрын
Lady... Do you know meaning of 'slum'?.... It means, people who are unemployed, smell dirty and don't have anything to eat! Do you think Dharavi is a slum? No, it's technically not, coz people there are employed, work in small scale industries, have lots to eat and don't smell dirty like they showed in that stupid movie Slumdog Millionaire... It's a small European like town in itself!
