Had fond memories of Veilside showcasing their drag cars in my home country Singapore back in 2000. My favorite has to be the R34 street drag as the aero was wild! Even bought a Veilside shirt back then and still donning it today!

Back in 1997, I was introduced to JDM builds and I was downloading Veilside demo cars on dial-up internet. I always loved his paint codes. The first Fortune Supra at TAS was my favorite.

Man I miss the glory days of that showroom haha. It used to look so cool in the magazines, but honestly, it looks cooler now with all the cars, parts and memorabilia everywhere. Back in the "Shogun Erebuni" days Veilside was probably the most copied body kit ever in the US. It's great to see they are still relevant decades later. Their A90 Supra kit is my favorite for that platform! Thanks for another great video!

Thanks Dino, really cool video....I visited this shop in late 2002 and the carpark was filled with tuned GTRs, Supras, Evos etc. We got a full tour of the showroom from one of the staff, he was involved in exports I think. I still have his business card, the brochure and a few souvenirs. Definitely a special memory!

VeilSide are absolutely iconic. Circa early to mid 2000s, their design language was everywhere in Australia. It was the hottest style, and whilst not my thing, VS were so well known. I mean, most of the VS kits were blatant knock offs, but we all knew the reference instantly. They aren’t a brand I think of much now, and obviously times have changed and the space they operate in is so different, but I love how resolute they are and they’re still putting out unique designs. Enjoyed this.

Absolute trip down memory lane here Dino thanks so much for sharing! Seeing some of those iconic cars that I had magazine pullouts of circa 20 years ago still gracing the Veilside shop ❤ delighted to see they are still moving with the times yet staying true to their roots. They were part of my inspiration, my own mk4 supra wears Veilside arches! 👌🤙

@@dino_dc why is that though look I know it costs a lot of money and noise levels can be a problem but surely the tuning shops and car people in Japan are aware of what countries like the USA Australia UK and even here in my own backwaeds country of South Africa are doing with Japanese car's and engines i.e quarter mile times and speeds maybe you or any of the other KZbin guys in Japan could explain this property in a video anyway keep up the good work

Funny to see how much less space the shops have compared to your us visit. Wild. Cool video once again, chief. Relatively speaking there's not often we see 300 zx's. Is there a reason for that? Is it not a very good car?

Do you think Japan needs more shops/garages to work on cars? What do you think of a western mechanic thinking of moving to Japan and opening a new shop/garage? Does that sound plausible, especially in regards to the recent scandal with Big motor, which in my opinion will open a vacuum for car repair/maintenance services.
@dino_dc Жыл бұрын
Not sure, not really my area, one thing about Japan is that it’s all way more complicated compared to any other country so research thoroughly ahead
