Tourist bike route Puerto Banús urban center. Glamor of Marbella in August 2024

On this MTB route with the bicycle I leave Puerto Banús to go for a walk through the town center, the streets, the beach area and see the atmosphere there. This is a place in Marbella where the richest live excluded in a ghetto of luxury and glamour. Impressive yachts, luxury cars, latest model sports cars and the most beautiful girls in Europe strolling among the luxury goods stores and exclusive brands.
But when you're there, it's really not that impressive. Puerto Banús is a marina that was built in the 70s with a couple of streets trying to imitate the white houses of the towns in the interior of Andalusia. Soon, celebrities and the JetSet made their meeting point there, turning the site into a famous place.
It is true that there are impressive luxury boats and yachts, you can see sports cars parked and driving around, oil tycoons with their limousines spending money in the stores, but in the end the streets also smell like garbage, it is hot, there is dirt, narrow areas, the port walk is ugly and if you leave there there is nothing special to see.
Does Puerto Banús live in an imaginary bubble that some try to sustain? Or is there really so much money in circulation that the rich don't mind living in a crappy apartment smelling of garbage on the street?
It is a place worth visiting, but if I had that much money I wouldn't live there.
