History:
The former Hacienda de San Nicolas Tolentino Lanzarote belonged to the Hacienda de San Pedro Cuamatla, owned by Don Antonio Gomez Escontria. Today it is known as the Rancho Nuevo Lanzarote. In the house it is still possible to see its great walls and towers of the beautiful colonial era.
Even the side of the former hacienda, is a wonder of nature: the millennial Ahuehuetl of Lanzarote, Ayactlacatzin and Montezuma cypress or Sabino. It's a Space tree whose name comes from the Nahuatl word "ahuehuetl" meaning old, that is, the old water. Its use is ornamental, religious and has an approximate age of 800 years, from whose roots sprout a clear spring from which flows the river Lanzarote,
