THE SLAVE RING - featuring Mattie Montgomery, Chris Poland, and Nick Villars
It’s a total betrayal of mans best friend
Sadistic intent always powers your greed
Splattered blood on the plywood walls
Serves to fuel your evil need
Lowlife world - No sign of humanity
Tear away - Another piece of me
Treadmill, anchor chain, needle and thread
Stitch up the wounds, to enter the pit again
Muzzle ripped to shreds, as you look on and cheer
Fight on cuz your retribution is near
Master I serve you as my body is destroyed
All I know is your wrath to avoid
Stuck in a world of hopeless violence
Kept alive by a cruel shroud of silence
No way out - Lose the fight means lose my life
Tormentor - Did I do you proud?
Hopeless violence, shroud of silence
We will find you in the deepest pit
Pull you from torture
You can count on it

Man, this rips. Love it. The last time I saw Chris Poland it was at the Bayou in Washington DC at a small club in 1987 with Megadeth. I found Jesus in 1990. Regardless of what you think about Dave Mustaine (and I am glad he is a disciple of Jesus now). Chris I thought is what made Megadeth (the first 2 albums) great. Tell Chris he is one of the most technically brilliant players I have ever seen. Love his style. I am glad he has connected up with Tourniquet. I also pray he has found Jesus in his life.

Yeah, I used to listen to you guys, when you were signed with, Rowe Productions. Stuff like, "Crawl to China", "Pathogenic Occular Dissonance", "Psycho Surgery". Just some really cool sruff🔥 Got busy. Stopped listening fora while. Man, I remember when I tried to get you guys, into Harvest Church, in Riverside California. The pastor, in charge of the section said, that's not the kind of music, ht We are looking for. That was before, POD went there. Man, I thought to myself. Are you guys smoking someth? Oh well, maybe it wasn't the Lord's will, or something. Yup, I asked Hans himself, for you guys. Hey man it was worth a shot. The quality is definitely there. Um, yeah, I got some some catching up to do, with albilums. I purchased the whole catalog, at one tile, around 2008; I want to say. Well worth it. Yeah guys, keep your chin up! Remember, we are in this for the Heavenly Father and his son, no matter what happens!! May the heavenly father bless you guys for whatever is needed, as according to his will. I want to personally request, they you all be happy and joyful in life, no matter what! In Jesus name I pray. Amen!🔥👍🏻 Metal on guys! You guys stayed true to metal, and haven't vered. I even love Carry the Wounded, so beautiful. Man, I wait to hear the Metal that you guys are going to produce, in heaven. There will be no chain bro. Glory to the heavenly father and his most precious, son, whom we love🔥🔥🔥

Yet another great song. Have not heard the whole album yet but very soon. I have been a Tourniquet fan since almost their beginning....for me since 1989 (I think). And Tourniquet has always remained Tourniquet. Keep up the good work.

Chris Poland, damn. He's his own unique sounds and style. Kind of sounds like Eric Johnson in some ways, but can be plopped right into a metal song without sounding out of place. What a beast. Now I have to go work this one out and learn it. This is too good....

Holy sheet it's great to hear Chris Poland again! Anyone caught dog fighting should be strapped to giant P.A. speakers with this song playing so loud that it liquifys their bones and then have their remains serves as dog food.

I remember in the early days (80/90s) how Tourniquet made rap cool. I'm not huge on metalcore. However, this is done very well. And Poland always delivers. Ted, on your next project, get Howard Jones and Kurt Bachman for some vocals. I would stretch things out and even attempt Matt Smith (Theocracy) and Eli Prinsen (Sacred Warrior). Smith has a connection to Michael Romeo. How cool would that be? Russell Allen anyone? Lepond did play with Affector. And Portnoy (Neal Morse) does know Russell. Neal Morse, that would be interesting vocals ..

I'm a guitar player. Love this riff. This would be fun to play with others in a music store .. I'm in the circumstances that my RG570 is in Austin. Broken and in need of repair. My Marshall Valvestate is collecting dust in my parents garage (with the rest of my stuff). I think I have just been inspired to go to a local music store (in The Woodlands), and give a test run to Orange and the new Dean Korean models .. (Does Rusty Cooley play on Orange?)

I'm not a xian anymore but there's still a few xian metal bands I listen to aside from Tourniquet. Can't say I've seen this one before. Btw love your work Ted. Rock on mate \m/

Chris Gately I'm not a xian either. Never have been one. BTW, just what is a -- xian? When people press me, I tell them I'm a cult member of -- The Way. At least, that is what folks like Johann Maier von Eck have pushed me into corner to admit what I am .. (lest I be burned at the stake) The bottom line here is that it utterly amazes me to no end, what the opposition insist what we all ourselves. Not just in the 21st century, but for 500+ freaking years! What's next? Will the day come that we are pressed to call ourselves -- anathema? And for the record, there are no, no "xian" metal bands. See Michael Sweet. Am I et al, to identify myself as a Xian Computer Tech on my resume? See how stupid that sounds! I guess all other "secular" metal bands is just assumed? It just can't be -- metal bands? Funny, how I have never seen Pagan's Mind market themselves as a "pagan" metal band. [1] Is that because we should assume that all metal bands are -- pagan? Again, pretty stupid huh? Either you are a teenager, or not the most bright adult on planet Earth. We have got a lot of ejamacating to do. Forgive me, but I'm on a mission to eradicate stupidity. This kind of stupid has given us two world wars, and appears at present to be giving us a third. Count yourself informed .. ------------ [1] Yes, yes there is actually Pagan Metal. How stupid is that? Pagan's Mind does not identify with them. They actually collaborate with Matt Smith of Theocracy. What's next, Zoroasterian Metal? We going to call them -- Zoros? Curse you Babel!

This is the most disturbing track Ted's ever written as it's written from the dog's point of view as it deals with dog fighting (the controversy with owning a pit bull.) This is the most controversial track ever recorded as the point of view is haunting as it makes Ark of Suffering look tame. It's pretty nasty. Chris Poland's solos here are even more potent than his tenor with Megadeth.

It's about pit bull fighting as Ted didn't have to look too far for the lyrical inspiration as the South Side of Chicago at the time busted a dog fighting ring. It's the most researched track Ted's done as it's got a tone similar to both COC and Megadeth.
