I wonder what happens if the track switch malfunctions and they train is about the drop?

Then the train is stopped, there's brakes on the bunny hill before the track switch. Then you'll ask "But what happens if the brakes malfunctions ?" and I'll answer : they can't, they're permanent magnets so they don't need to be electrically powered. They're pulled down in order to let the train pass, but their default position is up. If there's a power failure (or any kind of problem), the device that holds the brakes down will cease to work and they'll automatically rise up (using a spring system if I remember correctly).
