Syaoran is Chinese, and most of the background characters are Japanese, of course. Toya and Sakura are half Japanese, half (I think) American. Their mother was from an aristocratic family, which is why the marriage wasn't completely accepted. I think Tamoya is Japanese, also from an aristocratic family, but I'm not sure. Yukito is the Human form of a magical beast, but his creator/parent was the original incarnation of the British magician Clow so Yuki manifests as purely Caucasian . This got pretty long, didn't it?

"I think Tamoya is Japanese, also from an aristocratic family, but I'm not sure." First, her name is "Tomoyo," not "Tamoya." Second, Tomoyo's family is Sakura's family. They are second cousins. Their mothers were cousins. And third, of course she's Japanese. Tomoyo Daidouji wouldn't be not Japanese. She isn't a foreigner who was adopted, so her name is a clue to her heritage. "...the British magician Clow..." Clow Reed is part English and part Chinese. His magic mixes eastern and western magic. Why did you try to make Sakura mixed when she isn't but you ignored an actual mixed character's heritage? "...so Yuki manifests as purely Caucasian." Yukito Tsukishiro sound Caucasian to you? He's a Japanese boy who houses the spirit of a Chinese moon being. How would he even be "purely Caucausian" because of Clow when, as I mentioned, Clow isn't fully white?
