Real relationships requires mutual vulnerability. If you feel alone in a group, no one is actually being vulnerable, even if they pretend they are with things like self-deprecation.

This video does a fantastic job of telling the story of drinking/partying. The fun of it, the hangovers the next morning, some sadness at times, the introspection, more fun, indulging too much, the zaniness, a little of all of it. Plus, it's a pretty neat tune, as well. 👍

Years ago I was going through a very bad breakup and I was feeling hearth broken, derailed and on the brink of clinical depression. this video and the song mirrored exactly how I felt, in need of numbing the pain in any possible way and at times I would watch it over and over, so that I could process what I was going through and helped me avoid extreme behaviours as it reminded me that using substances or casual encounters would just make me feel more lonely. When I see it now I feel for that sad young woman that I was as it reminds me of how miserable I could get and how the way of dealing with the pain of the girl in the video is so relatable

this song has lots of sentimental value, even the video reminds me of a particular time in my life. Being at my lowest drinking and partying every weekend, feeling like shit the day after waking up and doing it all over again. Still had amazing times and it has turned me into the person I am today and I'm happy for that. This song will forever be on repeat for me. Big up Tove Lo , Stay High people !

The lesbian vibe in this clip is just rather tasty. And she is one hedonistic lady. The way she rolls her human eyes suggest that she likes everything. Peradventure she is trisexual. I respect. The hicky on her neck is splendiferously picturesque - not even a week with cream removes that love. And the sacremental frankincense is a bit ubiquitous; she is dope. I remember snagging a girl back in the day to this melody - thanks Lo Tove for the compositition. We were drinking some strong spirits... Ever 😇

+paul paulio What's REALLY sad about this video is that in reality, girls that respond to heartbreak situations by slutting it up, getting fucked up, and all that other degenerate crap, they're setting themselves up for the next heartbreak. You rarely find decent men on a purpose out getting fucked up, and if you did, why would he want to build with(and risk everything) with some fucked up party girl? This video reminds me of someone in a bad way, and it's sad, but they don't help themselves.
@positivevibes______8 жыл бұрын
+TheAcad3mic This was exactly why I was telling him/her I hope they never go thru it. Because RIGHT now I am that girl, me and my boyfriend just broke up and me being alone with these thoughts kill me so I club, do weed nd speed date. All I want is.. idk. but I hate this feeling. God bless you both.
@TheAcad3mic8 жыл бұрын
Tamika Robinson - Genuinely sorry to hear that, human to human. As a man that recently left a woman, I can assure you there's no pleasure to be gained in it. But the honest truth is there's a certain amount of value that we all attach to these things, and that wasn't the right guy for you, or you weren't right for him at that time. But the way through it is to go through. To feel it and process it and become stronger. NOT, to go out, get wasted, take the easy route, and keep perpetuating the circle for yourself. Cause you won't meet a decent guy, and if you do eventually meet a decent guy, why would a healthy adult man with his shit together want a party girl who gets fucked up all the time and sleeps around?

This song is really sad. My boyfriend/best friend died tragically 20 years ago and I spent years after in a stupor. I was depressed, suicidal, and using drugs and alcohol regularly. I remember my level of sadness and I didn't care about anything other than not feeling the pain I was experiencing. It's been many years since (I'm nearly 40 now) and I can certainly still recognize what this song is saying. everyone talkin about how this song takes them back, and I genuinely cannot overemphasize on the nostalgia factor more than the actual message of the song and lyrics. Really makes you think, the older generation spends so much time shitting on the younger generation as if a majority of these boomers and gen x telling their children negative things as a child wouldn’t result in exactly what’s happening in this music video. We’re all lost souls trying to figure out a way to cope with the fact that seems like 95% of us feel lonely, unwanted, useless, and not deserving of love. Next thing you know, you wake up somewhere you don’t know, you’re sober, head is spinning, and the ultimate bomb is that you’re back in reality, and your mental health starts crashing down until you’re high or drunk again. I genuinely hope y’all have better days, and get over what it is you’re trying to get over.

When i was a child, I couldn't understand adults who said they don't know where are they going with their life, what is their life goal and feel lost. Now I'm slowly reaching 30 and I understand them completely...
@Shteev913 жыл бұрын
The secret is, that's what everyone is thinking.
@AlejjSi3 жыл бұрын
@WilliePlayz I understand that completely. I started having this feeling at the university, so a bit later than you. And then, it got more intense when I first got a job, because straight away it was what some call "the dream job", the one you want to have. Also in that job and the university too, I think a lot has to do with some sobering realisations that nothing is like they told you during the childhood, in fact, it's more like the ultimate opposite to that. That it's not the best they desire and that if you study well and work hard, all will be good for you. No, you always come against a hard wall of some stupid shit, for which anybody that wants to do things right is dangerous and they try to take you down. And you have two choices - agree to their terms, or leave. Yet at the different place, it's the same allover again. Add to that some serious health issues and you feel like buying a ticket to get out of this world once for all. But I decided not to play that game anymore, I got through it, and I try to be as good and strong as I can so that I can fight my ilness in the future. Hey, but you're too young to be absolutely sure what to do in the future, you should just go on, wok on yourself, to look good, be kind, well and a sort of assertive in a healthy way, cause you need that in these times. Always speak your mind and always stand behind your words. And at once, you'll find something, anything that can be, which will require some level of responsibility and with that, the purpose of your life will find you. And well, the pandemic, it should go away, like the Spanish flu or the previous SARS. Or we'll just learn how to live with it, just like with the flu, and all restrictions should be gone, but well, that depends on the level of totality in any given goverement... P.S.: And it's good to have somebody to speak to and not be completely alone, unless you're 99,99% ok with being alone. It is good to have somebody around, but choose wisely.

To anyone saying this song sends a "wrong example", who the fuck cares? This performer is an adult and has decided to make this track in order to express certain feelings and depict a specific context. If you're a sober person nobody gives a shit, if you don't condone drug use nobody cares. We're of age and we're all going to make our choices...ever since drugs entered pop culture as recreational activity people have been making music about drugs.

@Braian Sandoval I don't like describing why he died too many people judge him for that and its not the kindof legacy I want to leave behind for him because he was an incredibly enigmatic soul. Skater of the year, King of the Road, DJ hip hopper, native storyteller and cared more about others than unfortunately he did of himself. There's just a lot of story behind why he died and I just don't think it's fair when people shut down and move on after I tell them why without getting to truly ask "well who was he and what was he like". His legacy. He was a legend in my town.

We (children) didn't know English by then. Maybe that was it, we didn't sing along, but we liked the feeling of he party.) All these songs from my youth get ruined by me knowing English now and reading/hearing the actual lyrics. Gosh we listened to weird sh*t, not only this song. A lot from that time was actually pretty depressing, we just didn't knew. We didn't face problems. We were just kids.
