I love the way these two complement each other. Kylie brings a funk, disco, and a bubblegum pop vibe while Tove Lo is a dark, rock-influenced, pop artist. Put them together, and you get an excellent, unique, and fresh sound.

Also, she was in a punk rock band in Sweden as a teenager. Furthermore, during an interview with Tim Jonze of the Guardian Newspaper, Tove Lo admitted that her songs are mostly sad because she is "useless" at writing tracks with a joyful tone. Lastly, most of her songs are written about topics typically associated with the punk rock genre but sound pop. They're many pop artists who have a rock influence in their lyrics and sound such as Demi Lovato and Kelly Clarkson :)

Absolutely love this song. Tove Lo is possibly one of the best singer/songwriters of her generation, yet is criminally overlooked in favour of the mediocre Rita Ora, Dua Lipa, and Miley Cyrus, to name a few. Went to see her in concert in Birmingham in 2022, and she was absolutely fantastic. All I need her to do is reissue Blue Lips on vinyl!!
