On her 23rd memorial anniversary we remember Teresa Teng, the exquisite, unassuming diva who had 30 years ago sung her way into more than one billion hearts, for her illustrious achievements, for her exemplary characters, and for her contributions to cultural mutual understandings and appreciations. After passed on for more than 20 years, Teresa was made "live" on stage once again by way of ultra expensive projection technologies so people could relive the joy they had experienced before and reminisce on her heart throbbing appearances. Societies pay tributes to her in various formats year after year because she was so admired, loved, and sorely missed by so many. We wish her legacy will carry on ever forever for the good of humanity. Viva, Teresa!

In addition to her incomparable linguistic and vocal talents, the things we loved the most about her were her characters, her sweet generosity, her charismatic stage presence with dignity, kindness, and humility. Teresa Teng was the quintessence of womanly perfection. Teresa, in her singing, treated all cultures with respect and tender loving care. Through her polyglot songs we learned to appreciate the beauties of other languages even though we may not comprehend a good part of them since she had sung in 7 tongues. As we immerse in her music we tend to become less self-centered and more open to the divergence of others. I think this is Teresa's magnificent legacy to humanity. Although she'd left us for 24 years, but her music and her spirit continued to affect us, to comfort us, and to help make the world becoming friendlier, more accepting. Viva, Teresa Teng! On May 8, 2019 her 24th memorial day.

この歌の作曲は森田公一さんですが、「青春時代時代は・・・のフレーズからなる歌はよくテレビで流れていたけど、それとはだいぶ曲調が違いますね。ある意味テレサがかわいく歌ているように聞こえるけど。それもいいかな
