Hey Adam, go ask your local fire deparment and ask if they give you some old fire hose (you get it for free and no need for sewing and it protects the bark even better from mechanical rubbing created by the anchor sling) they got different sizes and they are perfect as a heavy duty tree protection! Lots of people in europe use fire hose. basti

Nice one! I'm sick of people trying to sell you tree protection when you can do your homemade ones so easily, this is a real nice solution! Sic!

This is great! I've been using towels, and you hit all my major problems with them. I'm definitely looking into these.

after your other vids I was using towel strips but this is great. Busted out the old sewing machine and turned those suckers into tubes! Mine don't look as nice as the ones you have but they will definitely get the job done. Thanks for all you do for the slackline community!

I use felt that I got at an art store for 5 bucks. Its also great because it clings to the tree so you don't need to worry about it slipping

I set this up and the towel, though it doesn't slip, still creates abrasion on the tree. Cardboard, on the other hand, by allowing the slackline to move and slide is a good thing for the tree as the cardboard takes the abrasion and not the tree. Unfortunately, as others have mentioned the line slides down the cardboard.

Is just 1 layer of towel between the sling and the tree really enough? Towels are pretty darn pliable, so I'd bet all that force exerted from the sling isn't dispersed very well. Seems more like a way to protect the sling than the tree. I was thinking about making my own with 3 layers, which 1 towel each folds perfect to make, but I'm not sure it would even make much of a difference.

When you go to your website a Walmart add for skinny jeans comes up. LOL!

Guess I missed the point here. The purpose isn't so much to spread the load as it is to limit abrasion. I made some of my own and they work great. Thanks for the awesome idea.

We haven't quite yet figured intl shipping out -- it looks to be about $11 (domestic is $5). This might even be the same cost as domestic (or close) if you bought tubes with 2-3 friends at once. Drop me an e-mail (it's on the site) to figure it out.

kinda the same concept as threading spansets through 2" tube since spansets especially greens are wide enough to not need padding imo and it protects ur spansets, when the 2" wears out pull it off and ur spanset is like new

You rigged the set up with the towel tube much better than the other two example set ups. So.... you did not actually show that the product was providing greater grip.
