@@Juliancarpenter2 well combat is pretty different and more variation than Genshin I could say. Genshin's weapons dont really have any measurement for how well a weapon can break a shield besides basic elemental counters and the verticality such as that of aerial attacks are thousand times more dynamic and well, who wants to go through the pain to wait for Spectwrs to descend to kill them or having to being a bow user to take em out. Aerial combat sounds way better and is way more thrilling than E>Q> Switch in Genshin. The only thing Genshin got going for combat outside of how smooth it is, is animation cancelling and elemental reactions. As for as that goes, Tower of Fantasy is in no need for it and although combat is a little rough, it is still in CBT phase and is pretty good WIP compared to Genshins beta test that was pretty empty when it first arrived in Beta phase.

There's always a cost with everything you did, either with your time, energy or money, and in genshin, i already spend some money to buy those Blessing and Welkin that equivalent to buy AAA games. Hell, even some articles sayin that genshin has the highest gross profit in any games in span for just one year... . They always tries new genres for their new games. All true, but I'm pretty sure many people can also feel the lack of anything to do until the next patch, or until resin regens, or the next major event. You get what I mean. Especially when you're at the point where pretty much anything besides floor 12 (or 11) enemies dies pretty quickly. Genshin's amazing, but it really does need an endgame, at the very least similar to Honkai. Just turn abyss into something better and much more frequent than twice a month and that does a good chunk of something :D

The combat seems to be infinitely more appealing than genshin. It seems so dynamic and action packed. Not a fan of the sfx though, doesnt sound as impactful as the attacks seems to be. That being said i gotta wait until i can compare the game myself on other aspects such as the open world and the grind

where is the combat better in your opinion? because i played both and genshin is still light years better. the animation and mobility looks very robotic and not fluid. the actual combat and how you fight is really really simple compared to genshin with its elements and reactions. deff right bout music and sfx. this game has a very long way to go to rival genshin. this game seems like every other lil rpg that came before genshin just add open world to it.

Her normal reminds me a lot to yae sakura's either the flame saki or goushinnso, her tornado charge looks similar to one of mei's battlesuits charged atk, her horizontal aoe slash looks like HoT and shogun + horizontal keqing ult meshed together, her menu voice line at the beginning reminds me of someone in honkai, it's almost like it's the same line being said, but i cant recall. im not sure if I'll like this or not, but it has a lot of similarities to both genshin and honkai. it has a very interesting concept and all, but if it lacks originality i wouldn't think this game will survive a little over 3 months after release. Not even genshin impact, this game has more similarities to honkai, as a player who plays both games this looks more like honkai impact 3rd but with genshin open world mechanics and graphics. Nevertheless, im still looking forward to it regardless of the sheer copy paste that is being put right in front of my eyes.

I've realized the game is like a Fusion between PSO2,Genshin Impact, and Devil May Cry. With a splash of Punishing Gray Raven. Also I'm pretty sure the "Logical" reason our weapons float stationary behind us is due to some form of "Electromagnet" holding it in place. Or advanced technology that we can't fully understand so we call it "Space Magic" to avoid longwinded headaches.

I think what makes this game a bit lacking is the lack of atmospheric design. Yes the world is fast and beautiful but none of it presents a unique scenery or culture. Not only that, the sound design (for me) feels so out of place. A sharper and crispier sound for the basic attack and a clear-ringing tone for the special attack might be better. Overall, the game still possess great potential but still need a but of tweaking.

The only huge turnoff for me with this game (which definitely will not affect my desire to play it) is the SFX. It just doesn’t hit right. It sounds like one of those early console games. To be fair though, I’ve been playing PGR so much that my standards are a bit too high.

Yeah, I can say that. I would probably make the SFX a deeper pitch and probably a touch of reverb to it, or even an after-Sound effect of crumbling rocks. Combat still looks like a WIP. Dialogue boxes, SFX, English VA, and combat polishing is all that is needed to make this game pretty impeccable and good alternative to genshin impact. How can I be so sure? I am a CBT tester and combat is hella fun, but pretty jagged at times.

@@Juliancarpenter2 not to me. Do you play the CBT or no? The open world is pretty fine and there are tons of enemies to slay in this open world and it's way harder than Genshin. Genshin is easy outside of spiral abyss floor 12, and well, Tower of Fantasy is pretty difficult itself. There is no way you could solo a domain and the open world large enemies hit pretty hard and take forever to kill, especially since, unlike Genshin, nearly every large enemy has a shield. Also, much easier to traverse the terrain unlike in Genshin with the solid quote, " wouldn't gliding be faster?" Also, the "gliders" of the game don't consume stamina with an upgrade. The meat sources actually tank your hit unlike Timmie's pidgeons and the squirrels you can one shot. Genshin does have better music, smoother combat, deep lore, and a pretty open world, but ToF has a friendlier gacha, actually endgame content, higher intensity combat, a MC that actually speaks for themselves, rewarding boss drops, higher difficulty, and much grander difficulty spikes, and diverse modes of transportation. What does Genshin have? A glider that is slower than actual paragliding, oh, and a pretty sluggish-at-full-speed boat, and sprinting/alternative sprinting that eats away your stamina. ToF is like the embodiment of everything upgraded of what Genshin was lacking. Genshin lacks: fast modes of transportation and amusing gadgets Difficulty, proven by Vibro-Crystal research event Endgame content, you heard the people Generosity: HYV's stinginess knows no bounds Friendlier artifact grinding A decent chance to get good drops from world bosses, AKA Weekly bosses. Genshin is still a ways to go to become a mainstay main game, especially with a focus on casual audiences, and looks like a WIP in some departments. I am speaking from experience here as a vet of Genshin with unlocking amber playability on October 10th 2020, and a CBT tester for ToF. Anyways, I hope you gained some insight from this essay of a comment, and maybe I might have learned something from yours.

Sorry but i'm tired of the same old fantasy scifi anime girl spam theme, even if the combat looks more intense per say, i still really like the music, lore, diverse culture and mystery of teyvat and it doesn't just follow a typical fantasy anime theme but implements real life cultures and adding mystical stuff into it. though the combat may feel like you are making an impactful wrath upon enemies, genshin has smoother and a better flow of animations, environment and effects. nothing will beat the serenity and peacefulness ont op of Qingyun peak, the ominous feeling when looking at the beam of light in a forgotten location in Ekanomiya and falling asleep at the Dawn Winery. My opinion of course.

I like ToF but it's heavily lacking in terms of polished content and quality control, it looks too cheap (but then again, PGR and Genshin got my standards way too high) The animations flow is a pain to look at as someone with background i animation, and the layers of combat, vehicles, and items seem way too random and even overwhelming at times, some aspects don't even serve a proper purpose and it almost seems as if they only implemented said features to give off the illusions of there being something creative or unique about the game, and while yes it does bring some new aspects to the table, you can't help but notice how cheap and unpolished everything feels, there's no indepth lore or anything that sets it apart from other mmo's, just hack n'slash with some flashy characters (which lets keeps in, barely look like their 2D art depictions, which honestly just throws me off completely given just how amazing these characters look) Overall, my hopes aren't so high for the global release as i doubt they will polish the game any further aside from a few bug fixes, but hey, i'll let time decide.

For me genshins scenery is more common with enkanomiya and sangonomiya being the only unique ones out there otherwise its the same scenery but different structure

Wow. Lena 86 but with black 😍 Is she physical dps? It seems she doesnt shatter that much, so maybe a really great charge weapon like Samir. I want fire dps though. Currently using Samir, there is not much a choice as of right now, either her or Tsubasa for good dps charge weapon. But bow user somehow the mechanic feels so lacking in the game. While fire as of right now decent only King,Zero and Huma. But all of them are not dps.. is there any character still not showing for fire?
