It's incredibly effective. Intense, and engrossing but not exploitative at all. Also, the way it begins to incorporate live action in the interviews at a certain point is very moving. An excellent watch. :)

Did anyone notice that the Texas cop, McCoy, arrives at the university with barely any background info, doesn't have any visual on the sniper, doesn't hear from anyone who has seen the sniper, yet instantly assumes that a black person is responsible?

In the U.S., it aired last night on PBS, and can be streamed on their website through the end of February. I agree with this review--I thought it was a powerful, gripping movie.

i thought this movie was phenomenal, & was my second favourite of last year (sing street was #1 for me). i thought it was as gripping and nerve-racking as anything i've seen.
