I could play this for hours in the arcade, but I still always dreaded getting Coco as one mistake and it could be all over!

This game had a ton of moves which surprised and delighted me as an 80s kid wrestling fanatic

I could play this game almost an hour lol. Got pretty good at it. My finisher was always three top rope dives and then run and splash off the ropes.

That's very impressive. Always found Coco Savege the most challenging.

@@towerbridge04 He was, as I recall it gets to the point where one mistake and it's over with him. End up at that point resorting to elbowing him into oblivion - as he likes to do to you. lol. Even then, better make your timing perfect every time - but if so, you can beat everyone all the time. Sometimes I'd just give up when I'd had enough play - or when friends were leaving the arcade or it was closing LOL!

Fun game, played it at my local bowling alley quite a bit. But Jesus Christ, Coco Savage was wrong, even back then!

There were a couple of characters on the coin-op Super Punch Out that were perhaps pushing the boat as well, but we loved them all the same!

Great gameplay Ray, your character looks like Eugene from the WWE. Only wrestling game I really played was Rock 'n' Wrestle on the C64.
@towerbridge043 жыл бұрын
Thanks Denny. Insane Warrior is perhaps inspired by Road Warrior Animal. I really liked Championship Wrestling on C64. My fave ever is the arcade WWF Wrestlefest 🤼

Just curious (and I'm too lazy to cycle thru a million comments) but back in the 80's I played this in 2 different places and one time it was golden hulk and one time it was blues bloody. Is it a difference between machine that are american made vs japanese made? I always was mystified by this

As a little kid back then I found some of the opponents quite scary! Surprised it wasn't converted to the home computers/consoles.

What was nice is that it played very fast and fluidly with a surprising amount of freedom

How did they not get sued by WWE (or WWF as it was known at the time for ripping off Hulk Hogan as Hulk Golden?

Can you spot the Darth Vader-like person in the audience at 1 minute into the match? He appears the second time when the frame shifts to the right.
