Really nice job! I am a retired fire chief from SF & know those locations well. An idea...why don't you add captions as to the locations on the scenes? It would make an interesting movie tour for someone coming to SF. For now, the elevators and interior lobby is the Embarcadero Hyatt: the ground building scenes are the B of A bldg at California and Montgomery; the firehouse is at the 2300 block of California; & City Hall is, well, City Hall at Van Ness and Grove. And they all look the same!

This was great... and a touching tribute to the real firefighters who protect us. Thanks! And thank you for the preview of your upcoming "Bullitt" video! I love that movie and also drive a Mustang (a 2008 Ford "Bullitt edition" Mustang GT). I will tell my Mustang Bullitt car club friends about you. Thanks again!

Wow I cannot believe it I was there on location in behind the scenes I was thrown out 3 times by a San Francisco motorcycle cop I witnessed a lot of scenes being made with Paul Newman and I eventually ended up seeing Steve McQueen Do a few Also ,The Secret was You would not talk to the actors because that would give you away. So I acted like I was part of the crew, I stayed there for about 8 hours and got bored with it but I cannot believe it's been 46 years ago. I was 21 and I'm 65 years old now The Whole Location Was At The Bank Of America And It Did Not Look Any Way Near What You See .I Was In The Background Scene When William Holden Quoted That Saying .

Great pick, Herve! I loved watching this film on Betamax when I was a child. I really enjoy your filming location videos. You do a GREAT job. I fly small planes out of Watsonville (near San Francisco). If you're ever interested in doing aerial shots from a plane in Nor. California, send me a post. Happy to do it gratis.

I remember visiting the Hyatt Regency on the Embarcadero in SF and while admiring the amazing lobby I was like... where have I’ve seen this before? Those glass elevators looks so familiar...

I love that the Hyatt Regency is still using the same elevator design after all these years instead of replacing it with some ugly modern thing.

I was there on a conference in the early 2000's. I couldn't believe it. The "Scenic" Elevators do not go outside like they do in the movie. Just the interior of the hotel up to the rooms.

Sorry to burst your bubble. But they used the Hyatt Regency Hotel and 555 California as locations for this fictitious building.

It's the Hyatt Regency hotel in downtown San Francisco (with its indoor glass elevators), as well as the Bank of America tower, a few blocks away (tallest real building in SF).
