I wish you would tow at 65-70mph. Nobody wants to do a 1000 mile trip at 55mph, I just did one to Moab. It took me 14 hours at 70mph vs 18 hours towing at 55mph. Towing at 55mph on a 75mph highway and you’re more of a hazard to those around you than if you were towing at 65-70mph.

Your a hazard to who. Minimum speeds on most us highway is 45. You should only drive at speeds your comfortable with And to drive at higher speed your not comfortable with could lead to a potential accident that return is totally unnecessary because people like you seem to try to dictate what other people should do.

@@aroundthegroundlandscaping7107 *you’re* Speed deltas is what I’m referring to. If you’re going 55mph and the speed limit is 75mph, that’s a delta of 20mph. If the general flow of traffic is 75mph you’re not flowing with traffic, you’ve become an obstacle everyone must navigate around. I think 65mph is a good compromise and reasonable speed to tow.

The manual doesn't state to ALWAYS drive in 2WD. It says you can use it whenever the road conditions are variable and 2WD will return slightly better fuel economy. For towing, my preference would be for sending torque to all 4 wheels. www.gmc.com/bypass/pcf/gma-content-api/resources/sites/GMA/content/staging/MANUALS/5000/MA5198/en_US/3.0/21_GMC_Sierra_Sierra_Denali_OM_en_US_U_84550392C_2021FEB23_3P.pdf

So I've watched enough of these towing/driving tests, however, none of these vehicles are outfitted with the max trailering package? Visiting local dealers none of their trucks are max trailering package equipped either? I've been trying to dig a lil deeper into the pro's and con's, but aside from the GM marketing materials I have yet to find any real tests or first hand experience. Whats up with that? I figured I'd find a test someone that compared the trucks with or without

I have a 2014 Sierra and they seems fine to me, seems like they need to soften the newer ones up and get rid of the AFM in the gas engines and they would be a decent truck again. Tim great review sir! Last year i leased a 2021 GMC crew cab four wheel drive with the 3.0 diesel. In winter of 2020 a local dealer was selling mid grade trucks like mine for $47 to $48k and lease about $450 for 15k miles per year. So I leased one. Powertrain was incredible and my friends loved driving it. It had a 1750 pound payload and that fancy tailgate. I had gravel and mulch get into tailgate hinge areas so i hated that multi pro tailgate. I also didn't care for the poor handling in corners....too soft. And i was stupid in that i needed a 6.5 foot bed and this one had the 5 8 bed. I sold the lease earlier this year. If i ordered a 2022 i would get the max tow package which gives you 3.73 axles, another spring and heavier rear axle casting and gearset. Unfortunately the 2022s are much more expensive and they put in a console shift which i hate! Might have to go hd!
