Very thorough and the camera zooming into the details is a vast improvement on previous videos. The UK is lucky to have such flexible regulations pertaining to trailers. Assembling your own trailer would be unthinkable here in Japan as there is the need to register the trailer as a vehicle and obtain an M.O.T. (known as a shaken) and have a number plate affixed and sealed on by the appropriate authorities. Not impossible to do, but the paperwork necessary to even attempt the aforementioned is exceptionally complex and very daunting for the consumer to do. Nevertheless, Erde should consider setting up a sales unit here in Japan and provide that paperwork for customers to undertake this task. The Daxara range would be excellent rivals for the very popular 'Blast Trail' trailer lineup that are based on the light vehicle ('kei' cars) size regulations. (Maximum length of 3400mm, maximum width of 14800mm and maximum height of 2000mm). That aside, thank you for making these videos. They are helpful for me in conducting maintenance on my own European trailer here in Japan.

Firstly I like that our videos are helping you. The UK is a long way behind other countries with trailer law. there currently is no registration, No MOT or other safety checks around trailers under 3500kg although it is something that will be coming I think since 2009-2014 dependant on trailer they have had to be approved to be able to put them on the road. Erde / Daxara trailers come with an approval certificate in the boxes. there was a lot mentioned about anyone putting these trailers together and would they be built safely at the time of approvals being introduced but nothing came about from this. as it stands we have to keep copies of approval certificates and who purchased the trailer for 10 years for DVSA to put a database together of trailers that eventually should be used as a database for MOT's I also expect proper registration and some small road tax to come in. If and when this will happen I am not sure. The aim of these videos is our attempt to help people are put these trailers together safely as there are no checks done after they have been sold.
