A Bigger Hog Finally Showed Up......

Well, been waiting for a big male to come onto the property again and one finally did. This ole boy was photographed the last three nights on my game cam, pretty much at the same time. The hogs in my area are VERY shy for being so close to neighborhoods so I took Wednesday off from work to go out and get him before he decides to disappear.
At 0:40 to 0:43 you can see he has decent sized cutters; this is the biggest male I've seen this close to my neighborhood.
For the first time in about 4 months I also got 2 other hogs on camera......another male and a single female. We used to have MAJOR destruction all around here and would see piglets out in the open but between me and a few of my friends, we thinned them out a whole lot.
Just in case you're curious, I use fermented corn (sour mash) for bait. I tried a million different tricks in this particular area but the sour mash method seems to bring them back in the most consistent fashion. Also I will be using a 12 gauge, New England Arms, Excel Auto shotgun with Remington 2 3/4, 1 oz. slugs from a tree blind 16 feet up and about 10 yards from where this hog is eating.
Anyway, hopefully, day after tomorrow, I can post pictures and video of me harvesting this animal. Y'all wish me luck.

Thanks hoss. Fixin' to head out in exactly 13 hours.......gotta get through today's work day and then school this evening first though. Thank god for vacation days cuz tomorrow I'm gonna be useless.
