“Town Creek” Alabama Has 1,000 People

In Lawrence County this small town is.. losing people!

My grandmother and her brother were born in this town. My grandmother was born in 1913. She moved to Saint Louis, Missouri with her daughter in the 40s. Where my father was born.

I'm that one person... it's special to me. I'm originally from Alabama, also from a small town. At 1:45, the building on the left is on old train depot from the L&N Train Lines that ran long ago. That's a standard depot from back then... many that were just like that were built, but unfortunately very few remain. It was special to me seeing that one. Thanks!

Bigger than my small town -- McLouth KS 600 people. A gas station, convenience store, bank, post office, dollar general, a very small grocery store, K-12 school, tow company, 4 churches, 2 state highways intersect, no stop lights

I love small towns. Nice video! Too bad it's losing people.....hopefully with more people able to telework, people won't have to move away for jobs. 🙂 Small towns are nice places to live.

My father and his siblings grew up in Towncreek. I spent summers there growing up. It's a small town, but three brothers (Goode) went to the NFL from here. Also, my cousin Rilous Carter from Towncreek became the vice president of Disney in Orlando. Google his name. Don't knock small towns.
