Town of Gilbert: Wayne Curbtenders

Here's a solid video of a few of Gilbert's many curbtenders. Their entire fleet once consisted of Heil products; rapid rail and python for ASL, also Heil front and rear loaders. After that, their fleet was entirely curbtender up until recently. Now they have an army of scorpions to tackle their routes.
The new FL and RL are McNeilus (w/ the new blue paint job) as well as a couple other bodies on Peterbilt chassis.
The town also switched to same-day collection at the beginning of this year, and working four days instead of five. Years ago they had a six-day-workweek.
This footage is piled up from three different trips; one last summer, and two in the past couple weeks. Gilbert's routes are ran recycling first, with the same truck coming back to the same area to collect trash late morning/into the afternoon

This is one of my favorite videos of all time. It's also one of the most nostalgic videos for me. I've watched this video countless times. These are my favorite trucks that Gilbert ever got. I also really like the Scorpions. I wonder if these trucks ever ended up being bought by any companies.

A lot of containers in the valley look similar (especially the older ones), because for the most part a lot of cities buy the same containers. The only thing different is color and logo

@@jackkimball2478 I don't know when, I do know their oldest "known" side loaders were Volvo Heil rapid rails and pythons, probably 1999 and 2000 units. I don't know what they had before that.

If your referring to 2078, a 2011 or 2012 Curbtender, then no, it's diesel.

@@TheFanMan2525 Maybe because it was a little newer than the other ones. I’ve seen it in person and it sounds a little different than the rest.
