The town traitor can be anyone except a retributionist, and they maintain their abilities. Knowing how to find a town traitor through their votes and reads is very important, or they will take the game.

Honestly Town Traitor IS better mode, but Ranked has better players. Literally nobody in Town Traitor knows how to play or how the game works. They are very obvious evils and then when it falls down to last maf + traitor, we just say jail the maf until we find traitor, to give us more time. As long as jailor isn't traitor we win. And if jailor is traitor then we lose no matter what.

Here's my new OP play as traitor jailor: Imagine: - all of your witch/maf/coven buddies are dead except for one who is looking pretty suspicious - you jail that last person and exe them - you survive as jailor until the end of the game because town thinks, if jailor was traitor why would they exe maf/witch/coven? I've already won with this strat twice as traitor jailor, highly reccomend, you're welcome XD

I had a game where I was Crusader and was left with a Jailor, Mayor and town traitor Sheriff. We had no idea who the traitor was, but Mayor had pushed up a Coven, so we hung the Jailor to be safe then the next day we hung the Sheriff. I love that there is a reason to distrust the Jailor/Mayor.

It's balance for the fact that there's no NK. Less kills but more room for deception and mislynching. Same way with there being a guaranteed witch. It allows witch to be forthcoming with her controls and not have to worry about hiding and be loud in the town making power plays. And since no one trusts anybody everybody ends up whispering to who they trust so witch can blend right in when they find maf and tell them who they are. This mode is the shit. Probs the most unique mode out there and balanced at that!

i got jailor town traitor my first game, and jailor is even more broken than you think! they dont lose exes for killing town, they can talk to coven and hear coven WHILE jailing, (you can feed cov/maf info while in jail) and you wont ever accidently jail coven. Its crazy powerful!

Disguiser is also very good in TT games since he'll know the role he is disguising as if he just targets the traitor, and does not show up as evil if lynched. Could even copy the traitor's will. Spy kind of counters this though because it can out the traitor.

Another role idea: (Mafia) YouYou swap the roles between players. They will have different results and will show up as different roles when they die. You can't swap people with other mafs.

My first, and only time playing as the Traitor, I was a Sheriff, all the other Maf died, and I got found out pretty quickly afterwards. Not the best. My most recent game, I was GF and the Traitor was Jailor, cool stuff.

I've played town traitor 3 times now, one was a witch game, two were town traitor, and I won all 3, with 2 of them being flawless maf games, so far, what I've learned is that LO TT is absolutely busted.

the one who is jailed will know they were attempted to be transported but jailed, but i think the other target(the one that didn't get jailed) won't know, coz there's no notification like "you are attempted to be transported but the other party is jailed".. and transporter still visit the other party ( the one not in jail) so Lo can still see you visited one of your target

Lol TK is very important if Town keeps mislynching. I'd say the role that matters the least and trusted the least is Sheriff. Or Investigator. Of course, both of those roles can be redeemed by outing maf, but so can any role, y'know?

Pro Tip: if you only have town traitor left to kill, tell veteran to alert and ask all of the good townies to visit and die to veteran. The more townies die to veteran, the less people there are and you end up getting closer you get to figuring out who the town traitor is.

I Well.. if you are TT you could carry town and get all the mafia lynched early before any town has enough information. So town would have a lot of people to search for and you would pass under the radar and would not be lynched because you helped in the hanging of the mafia. Town would start killing eachother from the ones that have less info or haven’t helped in the lynching of mafia. 3 days go by, with you being confirmed good, and town will lose. It’s a good play imo. I mean. It’s nearly impossible that they will find you as traitor with 8-10 townies still alive

My idea is what if disguiser could do just ONE disguise on a dead body in order to "confirm" themselves/fellow Mafia. It would entice them to work with Framer. I would also like it if Disguiser could disguise one of their fellow Mafia members ONCE. That would cause so much chaos! Or ooo~ What about a siren?? You know, to go along with the pirate? Just had my best TOS game EVER. It was in town traitor. I was non tt BG. Two doctors and 2 sheriffs died to a vet bait n1. Jailor survived the following night. So the day after I was like (Word for word) HOLD UP! Is tp alive?! If tp is all dead why isn't jailor dead?!. The town let him live which was all according to plan. The maf went for jailor thinking tp dead and I was on em. Jailor exed another and we lynched one. Town traitor was hung the next day. It was down to the wire too. As in maf was a day away from majority, then I got the maf who went for jailor, making it even. Jailor just so happened to find the maf killing and exe him and then that day the tt was lynched. It was a 5 day game. Vet obliterated almost the entire town but I clutched it by making majority between town and maf even.

I know what the problem with skimm in tos. It's the fact that he is playing on low elo (below 2k) that most of his opponents leave or are playing bad af. I'm not asking too much here but if skimm actually improve his rank and plays with higher elo players he will be challenged more than ever. The game would be much more fun. I just saw this from a different youtuber called irepptar. The difference is so huge. I'm a skimm's fan btw.

How was the witch not killed D3 when the sheriff claimed to be witched N1 in their will. Both 9 and 7 visited the sheriff, who was witched, so it should have been obvious at that point that one of them was the witch.

I find it super stupid that town gets a 3 day timer to find the traitor upon killing last maf/witch, if traitor decides to just be playing their town role its a 3/11 chance that town will be able to find them, or 3/9 assuming maf managed to kill a couple townies, which they usually dont. If Traitor doesnt actually betray town there should be no need to kill them right? either remove the time limit, or put the time limit in favour of town.

Vanilla's plan at the end could have worked. Everyone suicide on the vet and then it would just be the jailor and vet alive. Jailor obviously killed maf and witch, and he had one kill left anyway

Frankenstein Once Mayor reveals, they often get lynched the next day or two because for the reason you mentioned- they’re OP if town doesn’t have majority. Safer for town if they kill the mayor on the chance they are the TT.

I played a few hours of this last night and my observations were. At first it was rly fun because I was getting town and absolutely sweeping but then I started getting evils and realizing the other end of the stick wasn't so hot. It's very RNG. It's basically classic without NK and that can be rly bad for mafia in some games depending on who the traitor is. If you get trans traitor or jailor traitor or mayor ur pretty much set for a maf win. But anything else and the odds are stacked against you. It's pretty much like just playing ranked practice without an extra evil (NK) which makes it extremely hard for mafia to win. I played many games none of which had jailor/trans/mayor traitor and mafia lost all but one (the one maf won had a medium traitor.) So unless maf gets mega lucky with an op town traitor or a bad town that doesn't know what they are doing, mafia most likely loses in this gamemode. There's just too much town. Not to mention mafia might not ever find witch during the game or have witch die early on. Tl;Dr it's fun if your town cuz u sweep but unless maf gets rly lucky with an Op town traitor they most likely lose. Edit: thought I might add some recommendations as to what I think could make this gamemode better. As fun as witch is, having jester or exe would be fun as they could cause more chaos than the witch as when players are witch they are more likely to lay low, having a exe or jest aswell as the traitor would cause enough chaos to make up for the lack of NK so maybe making the witch into a random neutral evil would be better. even then I think adding a NK wouldn't hurt and might give maf a better chance. There is a lot of chaos already and I personally found it extremely hard to keep track of all the town claims but I still think as is it's stacked against mafia.

I disagree. I've won with town traitor sherriff and town traitor spy before. Normal TOS is all about murdering people in a quest for majority while hiding but in town traitor it's much more geared towards deception and hiding doesn't work. Each different role that's TT has it's place. Tt spy can hide the existence of consigs and consorts and tt sherriffs and LOs are excellent at causing mislynches in a pinch. Tt vet calls for tp lo n1 and gets em all killed, and so on. In conclusion: in normal TOS maf wins via their night activities. In town traitor, maf wins by keeping the town turned against each other and being deceptive during the day. Plus there is a witch guaranteed which is huge for the role. Witch normally just has to hide the whole game and come out when they can give maf majority to win. But in town traitor, witch is guaranteed from the start and everyone already knows they exist so they can be forthcoming with controls and be loud in the town making power plays. And since no one trusts anybody and is whispering a lot chances are the witch will be able to blend right in whispering to maf (or even just do it blatantly if the tt can cover for them) that they're witch when they find them and start collaborating very early on. So maf is essentially 5 strong with a witch and tt. All being deceptive and being just as loud as the rest of the town blending right in spreading paranoia. It's even in the mode description that paranoia will be at an all time high when playing the mode. The mode is working as intended and is excellently balanced.

It confirms a Town Support slot. Meaning that it's easier to confirm other RT and you won't get exe'd at night. Also encourages any vigi's to claim their shots so you don't transport into them etc. Also also makes mafia less likely to go for any important town role that night under threat of them being transported into the kill.
