I remember getting really into them in 2017 and regularly working them into mixes with Dolores, Ramses, and Charlotte. Then just this year I stumbled across gems like The Pipe, Static, Definition of Mimosa, and the Township Rebellion remix of Visions. It's like I've died and gone to heaven!

naja, geil produziert, starkes handwerk, aber über die anwendung des kunstbegriffs in der musik wird ja schon länger gestritten. nicht jeder maler ist gleichzeitig künstler, ums ma mit ner parallele deutlich zu machen ;) also harmonisch und rhythmisch gesehen is das hier verdammt schlicht. das soundengineering is hier halt ziemlich geil. davon abgesehen is technomässig auflegen n kinderspiel. die produktion is das raffinierte. muss musikalische kunst performativ sein? und so weiter. sagen wir ma so, die jungs sind keine hiromi uehara und werden auch keine beethovens mehr. trotzdem sind deren sets immer sehr sehr stabil unter den feierbarsten und ich hab mir auch schon den ein oder anderen track von ihnen gekauft und hier und da ma in nem laden gespielt ;)

Jeder der ahnung von production und sounddesign hat merkt dass das was township rebellion rausbringt auf unglaunlivh hohem niveau ist und da wahrscheinlich jahre lange arbeit drin steckt. Hör dir alleine mal das zusammenspiel von sounds bei dem track humanity offline an. Für mich ist das kunst

@@felixs6501 die performance is auf gar keinen fall kunst. wenn, dann isses die produktion. wir sind hier ja nich bei ... keine ahnung, dj fly, dj static oder anderen turntabelists, neben denen ich auch schon mal drehen durfte ;) wir sind hier auch nich bei miles davies, art tatum, franz liszt oder hiromi und selbst bei denen würde die kritische musikwissenschaft nochma untersuchungen anstellen und es wahrscheinlich als unterhaltungs- und nicht kunstmusik einstufen ;)

@@wurstfinger3289 die kritische Musikwissenschaft ist doch wirklich jedem sowas von Schnuppe ein gewisser DJ fly kann noch so gut sein.. ein DJ set kann so viele Emotionen hervorrufen. Ein gutes set ist wie eine Reise durch so viele Etappen. Das kann man aber nicht beurteilen wenn man hinter seinem kleinen handyscreen hockt und livesets anschaut. Man muss halt dabei sein und wenn mich ein liveset in den Bann zieht dann ist es für mich Kunst und das ist für jeden individuell. da ist es egal was die kritische Musikwissenschaft zu posaunen hat

@@felixs6501 ich liebe es, wenn so toughe boys der ansicht sind, für die ganze welt sprechen zu können :D erst recht, wenn diese kids der ansicht sind, sie seien die hellste kerze auf der torte und sowieso die einzigen, die township rebellion mal live auflegen hören haben :D sonntags früh, turmbühne, function 1. reicht dir dat als kulisse? ich kam gerade frisch vonna dubstation wegen des schönen sonnenaufgangs dort rüber gesmoved und man stelle sich vor, es war das erste mal, dass ich in dem jahr ... wars 2018? an der turmbühne hielt. eben weils phät war. bei dj fly war das ne andere angelegenheit. als er das erste mal überhaupt in deutschland aufgelegt hatte, musste der laden danach rennoviert werden. da war nix mit irgendwelchen bännen, das war ne einzige eskalation. ein dj, der sein handwerk eben maximal beherrschte und halt auch ma 5 stunden hiphop/soul/breakbeats/dnb/dubstep/funk und im zweifel auch ma n rage against the machine track zwischen drin raus ballern konnte, eben weil ers kann. ich habe jeden dieser stile bereits selber aufgelegt, habe auf vielen technopadies gespielt und muss halt ma nebenbei erwähnen, dass allein schon die produktion einzig dem zweck dient, das ding am ende gut und einfach auflegen zu können - is ja auch in ordnung, is ja auch geil, aber grenzt die möglichkeiten sowohl der individuellen entfaltung und erprobung am werkzeug als auch die möglichkeiten, stile zu spielen, ordentlich ein. es gibt sicher auch heimlich knüllers und co, die dann wat weis ich wat mit downtempobeats versehen ums playable zu bekommen, aber dat is halt in keiner weise dat selbe.
