i hate such currency, but i love this game on mobile. this currency is given to you by all quests. i have it in the thousands without even paying to get any. the costs for different things are not so high, like 4, 5, 10, depending on the task. if anything it's annoying it actually exists, because even when you are in a hard spot, you can just spend some to make it easy. but it's not one of those games where you feel constantly forced to buy or spend this currency. i use it mostly to unlock the fast forward button - you pay a bit, you get fast forward button that can be activated for a specific amount of time. p.s. i can't really speak about the pc version, but if anything, it should be even more generous. maybe the fast forward button is completely free to be used as i don't see counter near it.

I would avoid calling something a mobile game. They tried very hard to move away from the mechanics and stigma. I mean they rebuilt the game entirely new under a separate new product just to get away from the negative review. I don't see anything wrong with it since there are no pay to win in this game. The currency for instant build is just rewards you get to instant build which is fair.

....in some of these games you can use cheatengine to give yourself like 100.000.000 and be done with it.....

It's actually one of those rare currencies even on mobile where you have literally no need to buy it unless you're just lazy. You get SO much in game and there are no paywalls. It's just used for fastforwarding or if you want to skip playing the game properly... which gains you nothing. It just makes the game quicker

Nook, play Stronghold HD for comparison. A much better game, especially the Crusader version.

Looks like a quick cashgrab to gain money after Handygames was bought 2018 by THQ Nordic. In fact, this game looks and plays like the 2012 released mobile game Townsmen. Back then it was not a mere game, it was a timewaster designed to gather ad views and sell currency. I worked for that company back then. I guess townsmen VR and the other VR titles dodn't work out that well.

Porting a mobile installation; rather travel from NYC to LA walking one legged. Nook, a word of warning. These "games" are cash grabs. Directly transferring to PC from phone is the laziest route for a developer/publisher their products deserve little of your attention and they have never been genre defining nor award winning. Please get back to the good good.

Except this game ISN'T money hungry. Maybe actually play the game or watch the footage before you throw a tantrum. Townsmen is one of the only mobile games I've come across where the ingame currency is given generously so you actually end up with a surplass. It's only need is to speed up early in game time (which costs basically nothing) when your people are being slow to build something because they're waiting on resources and you just want to fast forward through to completion, and to cheat. So if you're playing the game properly it costs nothing. There are no paywalls. No painful ads every five seconds. There are a million and one scenarios to play and all of them are free. There isn't even grinding. It's all like this-real time. And it has old-school charm and can be really fun when juggling all the resources. It could easily have come out on pc before mobile
