No his info is all wrong. Hes those who like blockout people of their industry to avoid competition by misleading pple. Hot shot is non cdl itself. U can deliver it without prior experience in industry. Even wit cdL u still must compete for loads n its best to work under company at first with even CdL.

Hey Alex great video, I’ve been watching your videos quite a bit to learn all I can. I recently decided to start hotshot trucking after being in supply chain for nearly twenty years. Just received notification tonight that my LLC is officially filed. Luckily the company I currently work for is selling me a truck and trailer which is going to be a great help and since I manage the fleet I know the history on the equipment. One note on factoring companies, some will put a lien on your property, have a 1 year minimum contract and have monthly gross goals. So interview multiple factoring companies very well before you sign up. I made a list of questions and called 7 before I selected one. Great videos! Really enjoy them.

Man, I loved the way you started this video. I've watched tons of videos, I cannot recall of anyone, ever, doing what you did at the beginning. Well, right away that is. How you quickly said, hey, this is what I had when I started and it took a while. Many people, doesn't matter if its in this business or real estate, they try to sell you a dream. However, from the start you said this does not happen overnight. I really appreciate that, people don't tend to do that! That is extremely genuine, I just found your channel and liking the content a lot. I don't even hot shot.

I just want to add I am not trying to discourage anyone from driving. But just know it's not how it used to be when I started I never had a CDL for twenty years it was not needed hell you can still drive without one if u know how to get around dot and the CMCA and all the new laws they have stuck into this bessiness. I can't believe all the horse manure and regulation they have and almost everyone abided by them. Don't get me wrong I'm not a lawless person but the regs are just choking everyone out you all are commended for sticking with it shit I drive a pickup and trailer to haul hay from a to b and it cost me almost1. A buck twenty five a mile just in fuel no maintenance and I'll tell yea with what I'm hauling it going to cost brake pads trans maintenance and tires it's hard on a pickup to top it all off even running a day cab it would not be any cheaper the mileage is the same pulling weight the mpg goes right down to about 6 no matter how u drive having fun is more important and enjoying what u do.

Hey man, just found your channel, been driving a couple years and it's perfect for me as I'm a debt free SINK homeowner. Eventually I'll save up a pile of cash and something like hotshot might be a good place to start... The company I drive for was recently sold and I went from a loaded-only low cpm position to a significant cpm jump for every mile I drive, more than doubling my income. Thank God. Never happens right? LOL...I LOVED that you paid your driver per mile no matter what. I agree, I feel it's the right thing to do and jw if that is still the case today for you as the business owner? (Obv I'm looking eventually to not be on the road and for as much as I'd enjoy the extra cash, paying whoever I hire WELL is important to me. Reap whatchya sow kinda thing. Thanks for the info either way, it's MUCH appreciated bro. Subbed. Good luck, stay safe sir and God bless!

Well awhile ago I was headed to CDL school to start a new career. Went out celebrated and did the dumbest thing ever....got a DWI......now 15 years later I still have that itch. I've never shyed away from driving, we ever go on vacations I drive...hell I went from Billings, MT, to Gatesville, Tx in 22.5 hrs. This was two weeks after having my galbladder removed. It was a straight shot run with just gas stops. We are about to look for a 5th wheel to live in it, so a dually is what I'm aiming for and figured since I'd be needing a truck to haul that....why not get in on a side hustle with the truck. Could this even be done, or would I need another vechile for just that?

Alex highlighted a Revelation in a previous video. Logistics is a cost, not an asset. You, shipping, are not granted a seat @ the table. The shipper owes you nothing more than payment for the load delivered. Period !! The shipper enjoys the right to reduce that cost to the lowest denominator. Called free market. Unhappy? Go stock shelves @ walmart.

And to add to that if the freight doesn't pay then don' haul it. Do not subsidies other people business's with your's. You can be tired, hungry and broke at home. Why do it on the road?

Excellent video sir. I've been driving doubles for fedex freight in the northeast for 3.5 years now.....been thinking about hotshot for a little bit.....then boom! The videos start showing up in my KZbin without searching for them......a sign???? Maybe. Thanks for the content.
