The only experience I have had with a toe driver before you was when my truck was vandalized, all 4 tires slashed, windows busted. I called a tow company , the guy shows up and tells me, "It's a $100 before I will tow." I was shocked, but paid him. He hooked me and took it to man auto body repair. When I called my insurance, they told me I wasn't supposed to pay ANYTHING. I called the tow company to complain, and the driver called me a liar, said I didn't give him any money. THAT is what it is like being a single woman, at night, needing a tow truck in Dallas Texas. And, now I see towtrucker and love this man's professionalism and kindness. Thank you, Johnny.

In NC, your vehicle tax has to be paid, emissions inspection, and insurance up to date before the DMV will sell you a new sticker. If your insurance goes dead, the highway patrol will make a visit to your address and confiscate your tag.

Some insurance companies won't insure a vehicle that isn't registered and inspected. If it isn't legal to be on the road in the first place, an insurance company won't cover damages.

@@jmnimahelr depends on state law. Florida requires that the owner/operator have a valid license to secure insurance. When getting the tag you have to produce current insurance and license with current address. Yet people will go thru all this then let the policy lapse or not make a payment. Thus triggering a license suspension. As long as you don't get stopped your good. Try and operate a motor vehicle here with bad tags you will get stopped. We have automated readers so driver beware. Yet others will drive with a suspended license again until they get stopped. Sometimes it will result in just a citation. But usually it's because of a dui or failure to pay child support. These will get an arrest. Not paying tickets will get you another ticket. 20% of drivers have something wrong yet still operate an auto putting everyone at risk. You have to have good insurance here to protect yourselves from these idiots.

My name is Richard who over the past years traveled all over Ireland picking up damaged or stolen cars also Merc vans. The business aspect of this is so interesting to me. Hearing you speak to your boss I realized that the more cars you “drop” that could potentially cost the company a contract with that particular apartment complex. They want them towed, but by law you have to give the option to “drop” if the car is operable. But more than likely that person won’t move the vehicle and the complex still has the issue. Interesting how the financials work here. Y’all really want to tow all the way to the yard to keep contracts so that pays the bills (a base) but the $100 drop fee is daily cash flow. There’s a lot of big brain work needed to run a tow company for sure Love your videos and the look inside of a different sort of business Also for the commenters who all say “you’re preying on poor people” no. They’re not. This is a needed service and they are just smart enough to provide that service and get paid .
