Toxic Player RAGED at me in Marvel Rivals! :(

Today I met a player who raged at me for trying to save him in a game of ranked Marvel Rivals. Unfortunately, there was nothing I could say unless I agreed with his lies, so that put us at a bit of a stand off. However, Jelly was able to turn things around later on in the video....!

Toxicity will never win you a game. It's more often going to make you lose, tbh. I remember a match like a week ago where someone on the enemy team said "Hi, let's all have a good game" and their teammate immediately went in on them in Match chat. They were like "Don't tell me what to do [insult]" My brother and I were kind of laughing about it but we proceeded to absolutely DEMOLISH that team and their toxicity just increased as the match went on.

It's honestly not all that chaotic, well... The editing makes it seem that way for sure but that is another can of worms. It's basically 2 teams of 6 Marvel Heros try to contest a spot on the map, stand in it for long enough without enemy team in it and it is growing a percentage for your team until enemies capture it. Whoever reaches 100% first, wins. The rest is basicall just people shooting each other or throwing hands.

If you're a groot main theres a insane damage combo that's : place wall + m1 + melee + e + m1 + melee. You're going to annihilate tanks with that combo ;) Also, squirrel lady is probably the most underrated hero in the game. I think many adolescents unfortunately lack the competence not to escalate immediately due to the isolation caused by Corona. I started with OW in 2017, over 30 years old. Being toxic in this game makes absolutely no sense. In what world does yelling or belittling your teammate who may be having a hard time help the situation??? I've been in so many games where one of my ranked teammates is being so toxic towards a team member for not performing that some people have actually just straight up left the game and I don't blame them. What's more annoying is majority of the time the person being toxic is pure rubbish and just blames every death on their team instead of actually accepting they are just bad at the game. Being extremely toxic towards a teammate is top tier stupidity and for most people it's 100% why you can't break out of bronze to plat.

I refuse to EVER turn on voice chat in game to speak with randos because of the toxicity. Even if it's only 1 person 1 out of 10 games. oh yeah squirrel girl is actually great. She's the latest in a very long lineage of character/weapons that goes right back to team fortress or even arguably the quake 2 grenade launcher. They're simultaneous very easy to get value from but also extremely good for skill expression, you can absolutely own chokepoints but also just bounce them around walls and corners for kills. Squirrel Girl specifically has some really useful abilities too, if you get dived by a dps you can hit em with a stunning nut and you'll have enough time to KO them with two nuts to the face, and you can use the refresh ability to jump mid-air twice to get to some really high places. The only thing you gotta be careful of is trying to flank yourself as your damage up close isn't super fast due to the reload speed, it's better to keep near the group with her most of the time.
