Toxic survivors in Identity V

Guy, yes I have a history of being unnecessarily toxic, but that was months ago. I make sure of this but I am only toxic now if another survivor is toxic to me (Or another survivor) and then that survivor who was being toxic messes up. I also defend myself and confront these toxic people in the lobby's and basically tell them to shut up. I don't feel the need to blur these guys names as they deserve it.
Also, this video is an experiment if it goes down well I'll more but if not then I won't

I contained for 2-3 ciphers then I got hit and I got tied to the chair The mercenary got terror shocked while trying to save me, I don’t blame him tho Seer was already down but the docter didn’t care or bother to heal anyone I thought she was probably a new player and didn’t know much on rescuing I remember the Seer self healing and saving me, the docter did come but she got terror shocked While vaulting, none of us could rlly save her since 2 of us were half health and decoding while another was dying I tried but I ended up getting knocked down, she started spamming thank you as she died

I always appreciate it when people save me, but I’d rather them use the time to cipher rush because I always get caught anyways, since I suck at kiting. People need to learn to be more compassionate with one another, this goes farther than just not using the "Thank you!" message. It's about understanding that everyone isn't the perfect kilter/rescuer/support/decoder, that everyone makes mistakes and everyone has bad days. Only once you learn to accept that, it will make the game experience so much better and enjoyable. What's the use of getting upset over somebody getting downed early or getting terror shocked? Even if you don't say thank you in game, you're still thinking very negatively about that person. it's as if you said thank you anyways but the person just doesn't know it. It's still being toxic, to a lesser degree if you keep it to yourself but toxic nonetheless. And I understand people's frustrations, when someone's mistakes cost you a match or a rescue- but at the end of the day it's just a game and you must remind yourself of this. I'm guilty of this too, I'm no saint trying to preach this to you like Jesus themselves. I myself fall into this negative way of thinking, even if I don't actively use the thank you in game. And I feel horrible after because I realize I've done their same mistake before. I'm very proud to say I very rarely think this way nowadays, but I admit i sometimes slip into it again. It's not easy, but it's not hard either. You guys can do it, I know a lot of you have it in your hearts to learn to forgive. And if someone is being toxic to you? Be the better person, do not fall into their toxic behavior and give them the response they seem to want to trigger. Just laugh about it, take it with a grain of salt- for they are not mature enough to understand how ridiculous their toxic behavior over a game is. Be nice, make people's days, don't ruin them. And don't ruin your own day with bitter thoughts. Oh, and just a reminder, we **all** are "randoms" to other people too, no need to bad mouth everyone.

I wish i still had the screenshots, but i remember matching in ranked with someone, and in the lobby, the hunter had a standby motion for geisha, and they started saying “no not geisha please pick someone else” then after the geisha won (fairly, may i add! The geisha was actually an amazing player!), they started spamming post match and harrassing the geisha. They also said some harsh statements telling them to self harm and jump off a bridge, etc. I honestly hope that geisha player didn’t see the post-game chat. Toxic survivors make me feel so gross.

Honestly any hunter than has the visit behaviour thingy I kinda like it because I get to know what survivor I’m playing against and it’s so much fun . But typically I prefer playing against geisha cos she’s kinda easy to kite no offence geisha players....

As a rescuer main i feel the pain of the "Thank You" message. When the kiter gets down early game and someone else spams "Thank you" i have the uncontrollable urge to not rescue that person, but as a rescuer i feel like it's a crime not to do my job so i just take the "Thank You" spam and brush it aside. But the post match always hurts the worst when you get beratted for not saving someone when it was essential to just leave that person on the chair to have more time to prime the Ciphers

god this annoys me so much. i was in a rank match with random i went as barmaid. the seer got down in like 40s and i went to rescue since everyone else was somehow hurt, i rescued but i got stuck behind the chair and couldn’t bodyblock. they spammed thank you until they died. in post chat they called me absolute hot garbage and said how i was the worst barmaid they have ever seen then said “how are you even a mammoth” i said chill i’m a human and i make mistakes. they then said the only mistake was you thinking you were good enough for this game and i’m the reason they hate playing rank with randoms. it ruined my day.

lacey sodapop it’s basically the term given to someone who is distracting the hunter while the others decode. A 5 cipher kite is the name given to someone who is chased by the hunter for all 5 ciphers, I hope this helped ^^

This is horrible man, I absolutely hate toxic players so much. I once tried to defend somebody that popped the last cipher machine a tad late and they immediately assumed I was the one that popped it and just continuously insulted me. It's honestly funny sometimes, they get so worked up over a game like their lives depends on it like hey, chill it's literally just a game. For the people that gets scared of doing mistakes pff, just make as much as you can. You're learning and it really won't hurt anybody with a clear mind.

I ended up poping the cipher too early because I was using Explorer and I pressed out of mistake the Password page. A choir of 'Thank you!' for me. Hahaha... I'm always the one getting killed by Detention in general buy you won't ever hear me complain about it. It was a mistake, ok? It's a game, for God's sake, we all do mistakes. I don’t even use “thank you” or “sorry” in this game. It is unnecessary for my teammates and I don’t need to have that. These messages are to communicate and give locations... not to be toxic EDIT: saying “sorry” is not toxic but I would rather put a message that can benefit my team or can help us communicate more. And saying “thank you” while being healed can cause a miscommunication to someone who just got her hit or chaired while you are healing. That’s why I don’t use it too even for good reasons. I just graffiti or emote

I have same stories: 1. One player was sitting on rocket chair, I have been injured and only one prisoner with full health, I were postman and did my job pretty good, I have been decode my last chiper and I thinked what that prisoner will come to rescue, but he didn't and after this (maybe we have chance to win or tie if that prisoner tried to help him) that poor player "died", later this hunter found that prisoner and he kited 20-30 seconds and died too, I tried to rescue him because he was spamming (VERY MUCH) "help me!".... I "died" too :/ And after match (that's was rank match) he was blame on me and he said what that's WAS MY FAULT!! MY FAULT? Im be like: "Wait, what??...?" I've been so unlucky meet him in next rank match and he were so toxic with everyone (before match he said what im useless and don't need to rescue me), I kited 80-90 seconds and sitting on rocket chair then he just stand close to MY CHAIR and spin around me and too spamming "thank u", hunter of course hit him twice and he lied down, other players saw that and helped me, but we lost our time so much and we all "died", he again start saying bad words and other stuff, me and 2 people reported on him. 2. Then 1 chiper machine left, I was close to gates and someone poped machine (I - explorer) then enchantress kited from hunter amd she lied down (before that doctor said "chiper machine primed") and poped it. After match she said what I poped machine and other players believed her only because of that what I was decoder :/ no one believed me.... *I HATE TOXIC PLAYERS*

I remember I would play with this one dude and his friends on identityV when I first started playing. I tried to kite the hunter and got downed pretty quickly. His friends were trying to give me advice for kiting and sharing tips with me. So when we went for a new match I did better. But still got downed (no surprise) the dude started calling me trash for being shitty at kiting it was so bad to the point I started crying but I continued playing with them away. I stopped typing in chat for a while, his friends noticed and asked me what was up. I was honest and told them I’d been crying then the dude started making fun of me for crying. His friends told him to shut up. Then he kicked me out of the party. His friends left the party shortly after and invited me to play with them with out him. He was a good player I’ll give him that but he was just a dick. He would complain about losing and not being helped. I’m shaking while writing this damn..welp bye bye

Reminds me of that time where it was my first time playing as coordinator, my toxic teammate (enchantress) had gotten chaired early game like 30 seconds in, I was about to shoot Geisha but the hunter was very smart and went behind a wall making me miss the flare gun, but I still successfully saved enchantress. The enchantress proceeded to spam "Thank you!" WHILE FOLLOWING ME THE ENTIRE MATCH. She got chaired again and I still saved her (she still kept spamming). Though I had a moment of triumph there, in the end, it was a lost, doctor was the only who got out by dungeon. In post-match, I asked why she kept following me and spamming, she said because "I was a useless coordinator who missed their flare gun" and that "I was the reason they lost", I kept quiet (because I don't like to argue or fight even if they're toxic to me). Geisha seemed to understand what was going on and told enchantress that "she should be gratefully that I even wasted a flare gun on her and saved her after she was toxic to me". Sorry about this story time, I was bored.. 😅

Mercenary is my second main in this game, and whenever I see someone being toxic, I don’t feel like rescuing them. But since I’m a Mercenary, I kind of feel obliged to rescue because that’s my role. And if I don’t rescue, I feel that they’ll be toxic in post match later on. Toxic players make this game unenjoyable to the max, and it can only take one single person to ruin your entire day. That’s why I never carry “Thank You” anymore, and I wish one day this message can be removed for good

What I started doing with toxic survivors is when they get chaired I say “Focus on decoding!” Go up to them say “Thank you!” And maybe some graffiti and a little dance if I have time then I leave them without saving. It’s my own way of saying “Shut up!” Oh right, and when they aren’t chaired but still being toxic I find them if they’re decoding I just stand there and watch them

I had a similar story. I was playing as Perfumer (she's my main) and was currently decoding. I saw the prisoner got hit and went to the ground before getting tied up in the chair. Since I was near the chair, I decided to rescue him since I had Tide Turner. When I rescued without getting hit or having to used my perfume back, I felt happy and proud of that rescue. And Prisoner was trying to run but got hit which caused the red circle around the icon. He then says "Thank you" again before being put in the chair. At that rate, I didn't want to rescue him again because to me, he didn't appreciate that I saved him. I'm pretty sure the other members also felt the same way considering no one decided to save him after that and continue decoding. This also happened when I was trying out Seer for the first time the other day but accidentally got terror shock. Both perfumer and forward said thank you at the same time which made me feel awful; basically, it feels like I cannot make a single mistake. I got really salty that I decided to play hunter the next round and caught every survivor in the chair lol. Long story short: The comment "thank you" needs to be removed in this game and everyone can make mistakes. We are all human. I thought games like this supposed to be fun. Not experiencing childish behavior who wants to ruin the fun for others. It's okay to get upset/anger when you lose the game. But never act toxic towards others.

Lmao, I can relate I was playing a rank match, and the leader, which was a seer needed a merc with tide turner. So I decided to be the rescuer. The person got downed within the first few minutes, then got chaired. I went down to the cellar, and got downed by the hunter because of their blink ability. Post-match, she said “Sorry but merc is trash” then proceeded to kick me. Then she went on saying, “Stop trashing others and learn to play the game”. I mean....lmao, I was a higher rank than her, and she was the one to get downed first. I just decided to report her, and she got muted for 4 hours. 👌

There are also toxic hunters you know. I was playing as priestess in one match and the hunter was bonbon. When i finally realized that the hunter was too easy to kite, i ran him around the map til there was only one cipher left. I finally got down and the Minds eye finally said Cipher machine primed so she waited for coord to rescue me while Luca was already on the gate. It was a perfect rescue of course, she was hit by the bombs but not before she shot the hunter with a gun. Then i proceeded to run him around for another 30 seconds or so before TME completes the cipher. But alas, tis poor priestess had her fate sealed when she died near the basement. But my mission was complete since i finally helped my team escaped. **Meanwhile in Post-Match Chat** Hunter: Priestess trash lmao Me(Priestess): Excuse me?? TME: Priestess just kited you for 5 ciphers and you call her trash? Wtf?? Luca: **left the chat** Coordinator: just leave guys =_= I can't stand a whiny hunter, can u guys call me again? I lagged. There's a video of a guy(not this) that made a video called "what is considered toxic" and he is explained it wrongly n I feel so bad for other players cuz they might think they're being toxic but they're not. The guy thought toxic means "what not to do in a game" by that I meant like being bad at kiting, dying near basement and down too early...like that's not toxic that's just being bad at the game Toxic is mostly lean to bullying and hate , like spamming thank you , spam emoting stickers or saying hurtful words in post match Don't get confused on being toxic and being bad at the game. I once played a 2v8 match with my 2 other friends but I got tied up on the rocket chair because both hunters ( Game keeper and Geisha ) are focusing on killing me and nobody is going to rescue me and I'm the first one to die , and I was like "That's okay I hope my team is doing very well" but when I spectate them , All I could see is my teammates is doing some silly things there are 6 ciphers left! My friends decoded the first one, but the others just running around (but they aren't chased by the hunter) doing emotes and being AFK.. I’ve met plenty of toxic survivors, but the biggest head scratcher I had was with a Joseph: i only found this out when I watched the match replay, but basically for the first 2 mins of the game he pretended to be a “””friendly””” with coord. After getting her comfortable enough to decode around him and even use her flare gun, he used excitement and immediately switched his skill. He terror shocked her, causing her to ping “Sorry...”, but at that point we were mostly 3 ciphers down so we just thought it was an unlucky terror shock during a good kite. We didn’t know he was “”friendly”” and obviously he just chaired a teammate, so with our primary rescuer down I went as prospector to save her. I stunned him a bit to help coord kite, though by the time we had our last cipher primed we couldn’t save coord and he sent her back to the manor. The rest of us were able to escape however. In post chat the Joseph said something the lines of “Why did you bully me?” followed with a really nasty swear word in Chinese. Were we in the wrong for reacting normally or?? I’m still confused lol

I was sitting on a rocket chair once (as enchantress) after I was kiting for 80 seconds or something and my friend rescued me and the hunter hit me in the moment I was rescued..like I didn’t even have time to kite! A priestess and a doctor kept spamming thank you. When I lost, the last cipher was done and the hunter had detention.. my friend who was playing with me got knocked down and was placed on a chair + she even told the others that the hunter had detention but the two of them tried to rescue her and then we all died. In the end the priestess wrote “stupid enchantress” in the post match chat..like I’M SORRY THAT I CANT KITE WHEN THE HUNTER IS WAITING FOR ME to get rescued and hits me the second after I got rescued like... wtf??

I’m still a noobie at this game, but once I was captured by the hunter and one of the survivors rescued me. As a person that still sucks at the game I appreciated their help and click on “thank you”. And of course I lost the match, but the survivor that rescued me was angry.

I was kind of in the opposite side here. I was prisoner and after decoding a cipher (and a half) someone got captured. No one else bothered to save them despite there being a cowboy and embalmer so I went to save them, then I kited the hunter for more than 60 seconds, which gave the other person time to heal. But after I got captured they all just went "Sorry..." and didn't even try to come rescue. Great teamwork, no one survived. Honesty I was glad we lost this.

I read a comment where majority of these players happen too often in the high ranking games. I just started Identity V like a week ago and I saw a lot of videos talking about this and how this happens in ranks. This led me to hesitate a lot to play in rank to improve my noob ranking because I didn't want this to happen to me, So I just stuck to random matchs. I could have just played rank matches in my rank without getting spammed thank you at my low tier rank? I am glad. 😃

Yea it does happen in high tiers. I think the main issue is not the skill level - like yea people die fast it happens they are good players BUT, I think what a lot of people lack is game sense which is essentially common sense just in game however it’s more than common sense and it comes with experience. So a lot of high tiers who got there in a few seasons have no gamesense because they’ve only played the game for a few months. Also my best advice to ignore the toxicity is go on discord, find someone similar skill level who you get on with, rank up with them and if you receive toxicity toward you you’ll have someone else to help fight your cause.
