➤ Hey guys! Here is my first cover from one of my favorite games of all time, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes!
This game is insanely nostalgic to me so I was insanely stoked when my man R9000 requested that I shred up the main theme to this game. The OST to this game can tend to be difficult to put together in a metal format but this particular song as well as a few more can definitely do the trick! (there are still some additional songs I want to do from this game as well!)
I wanted to capture the vibe of the original theme as well as the vibe of the game itself with this cover. I experimented with a lot of different synth effects to put you in a space (or even in space itself). I really dig how the layers ended up working together in this arrangement!
My initial idea was to go in a more rhythm guitar oriented direction and get some really awesome Meshuggah / In Flames style chug riffs in there. I really enjoy some of the grooves in this cover especially when locked in with the drums, I found myself re-recording certain parts an insane amount of times just because I wanted to continue playing it!
I'm super happy with how this cover turned out. I wanted to really capture the feel of Metroid Prime 2 and I felt that I was able to with this arrangement. I hope you guys enjoy this cover as much as I enjoyed making it!

I found a hidden gem in Metroid Prime 2 ost. You should do the Darkness/Vs. Dark Samus track, it's so metal, and I think it would be one of your darkest, most badass covers ever if you did it!

Grew up with Prime 2, this opening theme has been one of my favorite Metroid themes for a VERY long time, I patiently await the day where Nintendo announces Prime 2 Remastered and I get to hear this gem on my Switch. Hopefully.

+First Last HD doesn't necessarily mean a full graphics overhaul. At its base, an HD port means reworking it to render in HD. And plus, I'd take HD resolution with 60 FPS over a full graphics overhaul, especially since Prime 2 still looks great even now thanks to its excellent lighting system. If we can get Prime 2 running in 1080p 60 FPS I'd be happy, since it means I won't have to emulate. I'd rather play a game on a console than emulate since that puts a lot of stress on a computer.

I think it is, beaten the original prime 1 & 3 on hard/hypermode. Beaten prime 1 & 3 again on hard/hypermode in the prime trilogy and beaten prime 2 on hypermode, f**k the alpha/dark alpha splinter, boost guardian, and the last fight w/ dark samus

Awesome! I don't think there's a remix of this song, but this is a damn good first impression. If I was ever going to recommend/ask for a song to be remixed, it would have the be the Emperor Ing Theme 2 from Prime 2. There's no remix for that song either, all the more reason I'd adore to hear it. Both themes are awesome, but theme 2 is my favorite, since it encapsulates the feeling of the stakes involved in the battle, since it decides the fate of two worlds, and the galaxy at large.

Prime 2's ending theme is different than most. For Prime's 1 & 3, the ending theme is a variation of the opening theme, but Prime 2's theme is it's own thing, but still captures the feel of the game itself and the fact that it's over now. I'd love remixes of Prime stuff in general, it seems to get the least amount of attention when compared to the 2D games for some reason. Another theme that comes to mind is the "Cut Scene Theme" from Rocket Knight Adventures. It plays in the very beginning of the game before the first level starts (you'd be surprised how hard it was to find on KZbin). That song sounds like it's begging for a metal remix.
