I just had Cat scratch disease. I picked up a cat with my right hand, tried to hold the cat, the cat left about 5-7 big scratches on my left hand. Almost 2 weeks after this happened I had a baseball size lump under my left armpit. I thought I had cancer. Went to the doctor, he was perplexed because I had no other lymph nodes swollen and this lymph node was bigger then any he has every seen. Did blood work set an appointment for an ultra sound. I went home talked to my wife and also told her I was scratched by a cat, she looked up the symptoms, described what I had to a T. Called the DR told him the same story, he said that is definitely what I had and prescribed a Zpack. Went away in about 8-9days.

I've looked into t. gondii quite a bit, and found that it needs glucose and arginine (in nuts, peanuts, chocolate, seeds, and unfermented grains) to survive, and that arachidonic acid, an essential fat that is only in fatty meat and eggs, kills it. So, I think that a low carb/high fat diet of ancestral foods is the best way to kill it. People on this kind of diet do experience a calmer nervous system and mind-call "keto clarity", so this might be why :)

If not, chicken, pork and fish would be very helpful, especially liver, because these foods, as well as egg yolks, contain the essential fat arachidonic acid, which destroys t. gondii. ARA can also be taken as a suppoement. Fresh ginger also destroys t. gondii. But doing a low carb/high fat diet is probably the most important part of this.

Look up Jackson Galaxy for any information you need about cats. Cats are not meant to use human toilets. And yes depending on how waste water is treated in your area, they have specific biology to break down human waste, but cat waste is different. You would need to check in your local area whether this is safe or not, but for your cat it is simply a bad idea, and you are better off following good hygiene around handling and disposing of litter.

They are very much medical doctors. And by the slightest of chance you confusing Psychology with Psychiatry (cause ive heard this sentiment more towards psychologist)? I will mention that psychology is a science that relies on trial and error and statistics like all sciences. But it is a science that goes also goes hand in hand with nuerologist . A psychologist with a doctorate is still a Dr., DONT BE DISRESPECTFUL WHEN A DOCTOR IS A DOCTOR regardless of type of practice. It is a educational achievement title. your talking about a in depth knowledge on the body, then you're think medical practioners. And even then the medical field is so vast and speciality centered, that doctors have to have teams to see a full picture. Don't call these well educated people as uneducated or discredit them. Only recently have more articles have been coming out about the possible correlation. And since it present in 11%(usa, 30-50% globally) people yes we should study it more, but also only 1.1% of the usa population has schizophrenia. It's definitely something to look at, but we also know that hypothesis need to be tested and studied for long periods of time and we cannot reduce every schizophrenic diagnosis to a symptoms of a curable illness, when we are still trying to understand causation of schizophrenia alone (which we have not figured out yet).

The infected mouse are known to be attracted to cat smell of urine. The mouse can enter the house just to get near a cat. Cat eats it, gets sick. As long as you mouse proof your house you and your indoor cat should be fine. We had mice here in my house even though cats were peeing all over the property. We sealed all the crevices around the house with a bitter foam. Havent seen mice since. Hopefully this helps. Also, toxiplasma spores become contagious after 2 days in the cat feces. So cleaning the cats litter right away helps.

My mom died on toxoplasmosis, she wasn't pregnant. When I was 10 years old I've brought little kitten from my friend Casper, his cat which was a girl gave a birth to a few kittens. So I took one kitten cause I wanted to show that I csn be responsible.... Yeah...I wasn't. Instead of taking kitten to the vet and give my cat a baths I just was happy that I had a cat. And he liked to go and come back when he wanted and one day he got sick. My Mom took care of him and he returned to being healthy cat and my Mom got sick, it started with headaches, then She was walking and talking fast at night and we went with dad and with Mom to the doctors and they gave her antidepressants only without looking for problem with her health further and her sickness went further and faster and after her death they did a section and found out that Mom had toxoplasmosis. And after my 11th birthday at april 30th 2004 doctor called that Mom died and before death She started to loosing more consiousness. But it was my fault cause I was irresponsible and stupid little girl and because of me my Mom died😢
