I love collecting toys but I can only lightly tread into Star wars toys because there's just too many of them. My main focus has always been Jurassic Park stuff and video game/action movie related toys.

My daughter has 2 original Littlest Pets Villages as well as original pets. As well as the 1960s record player that holds the plastic records with the bumps on them in the back of the player. It plays nursery rhymes .

Great advise i collect and resale i found old hotwheels, a steel brinks bank truck, action figures 1979 original bucket of legos wow & much more!!!!!!

I like how he says to invest in franchise items that will have longevity and popularity and his "go to" is Star Wars, which is great; as long as you buy toys from pre-1990. There's some goofball out there right now stocking up on SW: Rebels Ezra figures thanks to that advice. My advice is to do what he said initially - buy the stuff you know and love, or at least don't "invest" in anything you don't want to get stuck with.

I have some Ty Beanie Buddies and Ty Beanie babies, do you think in the future they will be worth anything? Also, Do you think Care Bears will be worth anything maybe 20 years from now?

Over saturation of a product can make an item less valuable even if kept in great condition. Care Bears were super-popular and abundant and the toy line hasn't stopped. Considering there's new Care Bears and you can walk into Target and buy some retro styled ones. You'll probably have to look up your beanie babies, but they were so over-saturated that most are worth less than the cost to purchase them. I do have a small collection of the 1980's care bears. Loose, they're not worth all that much, about $10 maybe a little more for one that's super-pristine. I find them fairly often. If they're still in the boxes, I see them going for about $50-$70. I'm not sure about the figurines. My Little Pony, especially ones that are still mint on the cards or boxes can be worth a few hundred with international or rare ponies going for 500+. My favorite childhood pony had to be bought back for $90 because it was less abundant (1 per case). The price has gone up on average about $50-$70 since I bought her about 10 years ago. She's also very sought after and everyone wants one for their collection. Other girls toy lines in mint condition from the 80's I see going for 100+, depending. But that's just the ones I remember playing with as a kid. I usually check the sold listings on Ebay to get a general idea of what people are paying for something. Overall, collecting isn't really just about collecting for future worth. Rather it's about collecting something because you love it. Don't feel that you need to get rid of your Beanie Babies because they're only worth $20 now and may only be worth the equivalent of $25 in 2062, if you really enjoy them and they make you happy.

s4xtt well it was cancelled by the Travel Channel so no season 4 I guess Quest is replaying the series in the UK with footage never used in the US release
