Toy Hunt! | Does Ollies provide? Gold on the way home?!

I say I do not actively collect anymore have not for years but I still go into the toy aisles and I still look and occasionally pick up something that is cool. I went to a Ross and spent $30 on a bunch of stuff that would have to be my biggest haul. I got more into Hot Wheels over the last years so my best haul was when I found the Barbie Corvette. I collect the movie based cars and that one was hard to find. I found one finally at a Dollar Tree.

not bad! walking up and down that toy aisle a few years back is what got me back into collecting. and to this day I don't think I regret it one bit! Great people in the hobby!

Good to see you come through the area. There's a lot of collectors in this area, so it's difficult a lot of times to find anything. Couple of weeks ago the Crystal Lake Ollie's got in about 6 cases of the zarana/dusty/crimson guards and they were gone in 2 days. This past tuesday they got in 8 cobra hiss tanks, they're probably gone by now.

yeah I know a few in the area... and yeah tanks were gone sadly. I do come through that area during kane county, but try to get there at least one more time in between.

Appreciate the support! that's the most I've ever seen at that ollies and I've been to that one about 5 times in the past year. Definitely not stocked like some of the southern hunters Ollies! Keep plugging away!

There’s an Ollie’s here in Aurora in Illinois I’ve always gone to the mall next to it or the antique store but always pass up Ollie’s! I’ll be checking it out later today thanks!

First time i went to ollies, i went to the streamwood location. After that, i hit up crystal lake. Both basically had the same inventory. Was a bit bummed out because i saw all these people scoring amazing gi joe figures like dusty, sgt stalker, etc.

yeah even though I found some stuff I wanted, I was pretty bummed by the lack of anything. I was going to go to streamwood too, but it was getting late.. looks like I didn't miss much?

@@CollectingHavok yep. Honestly, ross and burlington FTW!! As a collector on the hunt, even though its fun to go for long drives to places like ollies, its nice when local stores come in clutch for amazing figures at great prices. Saves money, time, and gas. 😎

I am determined to get that Yellow Ranger set. The pandemic kept it from coming to the big stores here, so if I can get it at Ollie's two years later, I'll be happy.
