When toys like the Star Wars Vintage Collection Cobb Vanth reach their intended destinations (i.e. - website fulfillment and in-store pegs) they almost always never end up at the larger discount chains like Ollie's or Ross. If they do not get purchased in-store that store will simply discount that product until it sells. From what I have noted over the years, the item will simply not leave the supplier (Hasbro) or may make it to the buyer (Walmart) but then never leave Walmart's main distribution hub. Now if Cobb Vanth was ordered by the Target Corporation but never gets sent to individual Target stores for their toy pegs, that in-store allotment could be sold to Ollie's months down the road.

That’s not accurate. For Target, they run clearance for 2-4 weeks. If the products still linger after that, they are “salvaged”. That means Target then sells that inventory to discounters, resellers etc. That’s how pallet stores, ebay stores and other discounters end up with them. Discounters do purchase unsold cases directly from distributors, but they also acquire them from retail stores. Target is a prime example as I listed above. Today one store I visited was boxing up the unsold clearance product that will go through their salvage process.

@@TheManCollects I agree with that and I have seen the brown and red "return" boxes on carts lots of times. Small leftovers of unsold items do end up at small discount stores and apparently goodwill type stores but those massive amounts of Marvel Legends and items like Krrsantan are inventory that never makes it to Walmart or sometimes even Target"s main warehouse. Now Krrsantan did make it to Target and possibly a small percentage of Walmart stores (I never saw him there). So I believe all of the Ollie's Krrsantan stock was originally intended for Walmart.

Great hunt !! Thanks for the mention 😁. The Star Wars Black Series 2pk is only at Ollie’s. I don’t collect many of the Carbonized figs but those 2 look really nice IMHO. I picked up one of those classic Black Panther figs but I did also get one of the Chadwick Boseman Panthers as well from Ollie’s. I was pretty surprised to see you found the Darth Vader helmet at Gsmestop, I haven’t seen any here.

How do you scan items at Walmart? I know at Target you can find scanners in the aisles but at Walmart no luck, only way I know at Walmart is when they put yellow stickers on the boxes of the items or actually put the items in the clearance section. Also, would love to see a video of your childhood toys since you still have them always cool to see vintage toys that people still have.

I use the Walmart app most of the time. If you use the app, make sure you are in store mode or it’ll give you crazy prices. If the price isn’t on the app, I try to find an employee and have them check it for me. If those 2 ways fail, I take it to a self checkout and scan it myself or I take it to customer service if they aren’t too busy.
