Prices were pretty high at Toys r Us here in the states towards the end. Even during the liquidation they had discount but most of the stuff was still just regular price compared to other stores.

I'm in the middle of the U.S. & I wish we had a Toys r us, I miss the store. We used to have to drive 60 miles to get to the closest one. I see things in your video of TRUs That I would love to have in my collection. I consider you LUCKY to still have a TRUs. I realize your concern about the toy section getting smaller, but count your blessings if you don't loose your toy store in the future. You are blessed to have a TRUS.

We lost all our Toys R Us stores about four years okay here in the UK. I never minded the expansion into books, movies T-shirts etc. but the limited stock and prices often left me a little cold.

Folks in the States are understandably nostalgic for Toys R Us, but I wonder how good it really was by the end. Overseas, it often is bad. We still have TRU stores here in Hong Kong, but they're much the same as what you're seeing in Canada. It's all overpriced and often old. It's often cheaper for me to order toys from the States than buy them locally at TRU.

That really hurt to watch! It's so sad what Toys r Us has come down to. The owner is the son from Sam the record man and he's always been very greedy.

I can't speak to Sam Sniderman's son, but the ownership of TRU Canada sounds not unlike the situation in Asia. Over here, Toys R Us is owned by Li & Fung, a supply chain company. Legacy toy brands owned by companies who are not in it from an interest or passion for toys.
