Hi, I would just like to extend my thanks for creating this series. I recently started my Transformers collection and was just sending pictures of them to my brother, random shots with no thought put into it. But looking at them today kindled a desire to click photos that are worthy of the engineering and effort that went into making these toys. And sure enough I was on KZbin looking for guidance and after watching a few video's that were going into the lighting and Photoshop and creating a 'scene' straight away, yours seemed to gently pull me into the deep ocean of what toy photography is while only just reveling the tip of the ice berg which actually was a lot easier to process and made me feel optimistic about the possibility that even someone with no skills in photography can learn. So thanks a lot for this. I'll watch the whole series as soon as I can and maybe even tag you in a photo I think is good.

Thanks alot 🙌 depends on what your in to (franchise wise) the die cast jada toys vehicles are great, they photograph really well. Figures id suggest any of the Neca Alien or Predators, the detail on the sculpt and paint are amazing, the photograph really well, especially up close

I think my only issue is reflective light from the BG, like from a green screen and such. maybe its the paper and I should use cloth?

Paper dosent reflect unless its coated, for eg packaging inserts as they are glossy, craft paper is better eg coloured or white hot. Cloth would work providing its not creased. Which is why a black towel works best for that infinite black background

@@ProjectPiperCustoms I guess reflect is the wrong word, but light bounces off sheet and when the photo is taken the light would make light outlines of the color onto the figure. Thanks for replying though, I'll keep trying and experimenting to get the right touch

im looking for a clip-on macro lens for my phone, i don't know which should i get, 50mm, 80mm or 100mm..i wanna be able to shoot the whole body(standing pose)of a figure..which should i get? thank you..

I have never used one, so i cant give you advice on buying one im afraid. My advice would be to watch some reviews on them on KZbin. See if they will achieve what you want. But i will say you can shoot a full figure on a phone without an attachment.

@@ProjectPiperCustoms thank you.. my problem shooting without attachment is that if i dont use the zoom(2x) i will have to shoot closer, the problem is if i shoot closer the figure will not look directly on the camera, its like the head is slightly tilted upwards and the legs are going to look slightly angled backwards..in other words, the figure will not look perfectly straight compared to shooting a little further with 2x digital zoom..but i want to avoid using digital zoom..

what lens do you recommend I just recently bought a camera from a pawn shop it works but it came with a different Len then the original. I have to be far in order for it to focus. I really need a Len that doesn't require me to be so far. 😢😢

Well the standard lense is what I use on my Camera (Canon EOS 450d) and thats 18-55mm. If you can find that lense for yours then you should be good 👍
