His tongue on the alt head is removeable, and I think that is the shot shown on the Card backing... It's simply the alt head with the tongue removed, giving him that open mouth look... I got this guy and when he came in the mail all looked fine, i take him out and he doesn't stand well. I didn't really notice anything at all until i realized his left ankle where the foot is held was warped out so the foot was being held by nothing luckily i used a hair dryer and moved ita little so now he can stand on his own and he is a great figure!

There is no 4th head..as commented below..the tounge can be removed!I think it just looks weird tho cause his teeth are pushed out so far. The classic(Todd McFarlane)head is easily my favorite.I just picked up the Marvel selects Carnage..he's I bit pricey unfortunately cause he was just discontinued by the manufacturer 4 some reason.

This is an awesome figure but the only problem I've been having with hum is displaying him with out himbfalling over. It would have been good if they had included a base , he doesn't have ankle pivot so be spent ever seem to have both feet flat on the floor. I have to agree this Venom is AWESOME. I never saw one when they were released. I so wish I did. The Venom I dis get was ok but nothing compared to this. Wow. Hell the one I got you need the base to keep him upright. His legs and ankles became loose after 10 mins he wouldnt stand. Got the Classic Lizard from the same line but kept him in pkg. Due to weak limbs. Anyway kick butt review. Time to hit E-Bay.

I have been waiting for a Venom figure like this since I was about 10 years old, I love this figure and I give it a 10. Gonna have to buy about 3 of them, Its perfect. Now all I want if for them to do the same with Carnage and I'd lose my mind. A Mac Gargan Venom would be cool aswell. Marvel Select seem to be doing a few Spider-Man villains which make me wish they'd go back and do a better Spider-man figure with better articulation and better sculpt. :)

I was thinking of collecting the symbiotes. I am planning on getting antivenom, amazing spiderman 2 carnage and variant Toxin, and am debating whether to get the blast venom or this one. The blast venom seems more appropriately scaled to carnage (which is what i would want because i would probably pose them fighting) but idk, this ones pretty badass.

This guy stands about 8 inches tall as he is in the 7 inch scale so as to fit in with the rest of the Marvel Select series. If you want a venom in scale with the Marvel Legends Carnage or Toxin, you'd want one about 7 inches tall. The Marvel Classics Venom (the bulky one, not the early one in mid-transformation) or Sinister Six boxset Venom are the best Venom figures in the 6 inch scale (Technically venom is 7 inches in the 6 inch scale lines as he is about 7 feet tall in the actual Marvel Universe). I personally own the Sinister Six venom and most reviewers and collectors recommend those two venom figures.
