Emulated with Dolphin on a computer. It is possible to convert USB to GameCube/Wii, but I don't own either one.

Okay, so as recommended, I watched this awesome video. Unfortunately, the link to the project files is not working anymore. I would love to know if and how a rotary encoder (like that 600P, 2-phase, analog ones) can be used to interface with e.g. a PC racing game. Is an HID class device capable of providing that information, or do I have to map it to e.g. an axis of the PC-mouse? Just starting to investigate this topic...
