When you come to think of it, pretty much all of the Toy Story tie-in games were actually pretty decent. Especially the console version of this game and even the one based on the 2nd movie for the PS1. Would certainly like to see that possibly in the future.

Gotta say as a Lego fan with a good amount of Lego Mario sets, I love how accurate and true to form you stayed with matching the facial animations to the actual print of the face tiles lol. Awesome job there.

The allegations are from recent with the help of Karl Jobst. If you want to know more watch his videos about the subject Edit: as for the "ask any lawyer" bit, 3 weeks ago or so a literal lawyer on KZbin who goes by Moon Channel made a one hour long claim that The Completionist is not in the wrong at all. I’m pretty sure that this was the first game I ever fully completed as a kid I replayed it a few years ago when I was recovering from tooth removal and I still think that it really holds up. It’s very different to the console version but it’s equally enjoyable in its own way

9:34 You're partially right. Some magnetic chalkboards exist, but standard classroom chalkboards like this one are typically not. I think at some point in development, this was supposed to be a whiteboard or something, but they changed it to a chalkboard at some point. Even then, like chalkboards, only some whiteboards are actually magnetic, so I don't even know anymore.

I played the hell out of the PS3 version of Toy Story 3. Kinda crazy how back in the day not only did we get lots of movie tie in games but we got multiple different versions on different consoles. If this one was mostly platforming I definitely would've tried to seek it out. Always thought the melting Woody face was very dark for this one... I look forward to the goomba replacement!

Constant touch screen mini-games really disrupt the flow of gameplay. Imagine playing a DS game where a treasure hunter has to play a mini-game every time he opens a treasure chest, like squashing cockroaches or tracing an image while dodging lasers. That’d be a weird experience, alright!

Something I recently learned is that this game came out on the PS2 in 2010, and it sent me into a rabbit hole. It's not the Wii version backported like how a lot of games did, it's just it's own entire other version that has nothing to do with the others beyond being based on Toy Story 3, it got it's own bundle that came with a PS2 slim for the PS2's 10th anniversary, and it was also on the PSP, and then the PSP version got released on PS Plus instead of the PS3 version of the 7th-gen version that had Zurg as a console exclusive. Being tied to the DS, this version definitely cuts down the amount of platforming you actually do in favor of the touch screen stuff contrary to the console port

This was one of the first video games I ever played on my DS Lite, and I used to have my mom (who isn’t really a gamer) beat the game for me since I was awful at it myself. Nowadays I can breeze through the game in under 2 hours, and it’s still fun to play the tower defense levels to this day!
