Great memories and the greatest toy line of that Era, have a few in my collection. Question. I know you also do restoration, recently I purchased the astronaut on eBay, which are rare to come across and are very expensive, when I got the figure it said about 2 phrases I cleaned the talking device restrung it and purchased a new jumpsuit and decal from cotswold collectibles the figure looks great, but won't say any phrases now, any idea what's going on, I even purchased a new speaker for it, any tips would be appreciated being that these are rare even if it said one phrase that would be great. Thanks for watching, the talk boxes can be a bit finicky I've found. Here's a more recent repair I did for a talking commander: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6vWip2wjLF_hbMsi=fYfzFr3Xw2a_xZs2&t=416 I'm wondering if the little arm that swings over to the different areas of the tape is where the problem is. Does it work when it's open, or does the same thing open or closed? Just trying to help troubleshoot or figure out what to consider may be a problem.
