This is how I remember the legend that was Toyah! 4ft 10" of sheer energy! The live version of Danced is so much better than the studio one. I remember being mesmerized by this sheer bundle of energy at the Cardiff Top Rank in the early 80's. She was on a par with Siouxie and that is saying something! Looking back now, I realise that Iam still as infatuated now at 55 as I was then as a teenager. And, if you are listening Toyah, Iam still waiting!

I concur I ask myself the same thing. I went to tons of concerts in the eighties and nineties. I don't know how I missed toya. She's an unbelievable performance that video from dance just is unbelievably awesome. It really gets me going and excited about the eighties. It's modern music 4 the 80s not for now

I found album in used record store after movie "URGH MUSICwar" I'm so lucky and fortunate. I dance when BOW WOW WOW aphrodisiac come on . Downstairs neighbor complained many times . Ruth c h u r c h forgive me and move out....???? Maybe I kicked out in 2001???

Agreed, and that's really saying something. It's a real snapshot of an exciting time in music. Some great standards of the era, plus a few fun surprises. It's just nice to see that some of those early MTV-era bands had the goods when it came to live performance.

"URGH!' had a list of bands only the FM radio would play...KISS and Punk got the same zero exposure, until if at all, many years later...MTV is not the historical hole of all experiences of PAST music events.

Wow I listen to so much music in the eighties and I never heard of toia what an unbelievable performance the performance the thinging the music it's so eighties but it's soul itself it's so different that's what's great about the eighties everybody sounded different and then everybody tried to copy the sound and then it was sounding all the theme terrible how does the artist like this get away without ever been known she was married to Robert Fripp from I think its crimson I forget the name but I heard their music and she's just as different which is what was great about the eighties music I love this performance

Remember my first time in a nightclub at The Samson & Hercules (before it became Ritzy's), then discovered The Caribbean gay club. I worked on Thorpe Road till relocating to Suffolk, then Cambridge...back to Suffolk and now Snowdonia National Park.
