6:50 the combined mode is called an energon sword. I learned this by scanning that qr code on the box that came with prime. It is pretty sick. When combined with the axe it is said "to form an indestructible weapon that can slice through any material.

An overall amazing set. Bot mode looks great, the eyes decals really enhance the face, base mode is really impressive, but the trailer is by far the coolest trailer of all times thanks to toyhax. Me and many people online on the twitters have been waiting for this eventual set! (edit) For my primes head cus there had been many cases of the neck balljoint being misassambled i had split the head opened and painted the eyes silver to look toy accurate.

If u pop the head apart and remove the paint from the back of the head it indeed died have light piping. They painted the translucent part blue for some reason

The knee decals need to be a bit more grey. The plastic isn't that dark of a black, and will only fade white over time.

I personally don’t like the idea of making it look like he has windows on his chest. The original G2 toy knew those weren’t windows and didn’t treat them like they were. I understand it’s traditional, but it just doesn’t belong on a G2, IMO. RID Scourge was a really popular repaint of G2 Prime, he also did not have windows on his chest, but looked very good if you’ve ever seen his design.

Excellent video and an awesome set for this guy! Toyhax always does great looking stuff... I'll definitely get this set for my Prime, BUT I have some work to do on mine first! Number 1: paint those lower legs & feet blue, #2: paint the chest & torso red & silver like G1 Optimus, & #3: paint those side tanks chrome silver. Obviously, this G2 style Prime ISN'T G1, BUT I would prefer a G1 color scheme regardless, as I really didn't LIKE his G2 color scheme... I'm okay with the truck mode in general, so I'm not repainting the entire cab. Unfortunately, I will ONLY be utilizing the inner tanker decals, as sadly the entirety of the outer tanker decals will be wasted money for ME, because I really, REALLY DID NOT like the tanker artwork look for him AT ALL! Kind of defeats the entire purpose of being a "robot in disguise" if you ride around advertising who you are.😑😑😑 THAT stupid aspect always annoyed me about G2, so I didn't buy the toys back then, and a major reason I LOVE what they did with Scourge, aka Nemesis Prime, in the RiD series repaint of the G2 mold (and the repaint of THIS mold is gloriously sweet too!) Instead, of obvious Optimus artwork on the tanker, I will be custom making a set of decals to give my Prime a different, actual tanker look. TOO bad Toyhax DIDN'T provide alternative decals FOR THAT! I'm sure they have to know MANY of us TF fans DO NOT like that look... 😑😑😑

This will probably be my first toy hax purchase, just wish they did something to enhance the lower torso and crotch area in robot mode, still seems a little bland. However I think this set shines in vehicle mode and the trailer.

I applied this set as well, and it turns a fairly bland-looking toy into a real presence on the shelf! I applied the blue eyes, but after seeing your review, I’m seriously tempted to take them off and apply the yellow eyes instead!

Looks fantastic! I got my set on the way and boy oh boy that trailer looks to be a bear. Quick question, when putting those stickers on the trailer, is it easier to disassemble the trailer as it doesn't use pins to put them on? Thanks for a fantastic look at this set.

I don't know if I should really give my piece for this as I don't own any transformers stuff, but I think the light grey hip joints look a little bland. Maybe add the highlights from the G1 prime's hips in either yellow to match the eyes and lower shoulders or blue to match up with the rest of laser prime's blue details. Anything to break up the empty grey spaces.

Not a fan of all that "Optimus Prime" advertising... Not much of a disguise, if the Decepticons can pick you out of a Convoy travelling on the Interstate, because you've got a rolling billboard shouting out your own name to the enemy... Too bad there isn't a more generic artwork set option.
