Brilliant video, very helpful, thanks. I recently bought a facelift 2004 MR2, I only had it a week and long story how but I think the timing chain broke on it whilst running so the 1ZZ engine is dead. For this reason I'm thinking I should do a 2ZZ swap straight away instead of replacing with another 1ZZ. I bought a 2ZZ Celica T Sport cheap, I have the whole car. Both the MR2 and the Celica are 6 speed transmissions. It sounds from your video like I can potentially take all the parts from the Celica, and the only things I need to sort out is the engine mount, intake and cutting/welding the headers...correct?

@@reubenbaverstock5911 you are almost correct Yes, one engine mount (passenger side),intake ,header fitment, ecu, harness from 2zz or 1zz with some modifications that I can help you with and for the transmission you gotta keep the 6speed block out shaft from the 1zz and transfer it on the other side of the 2zzS transmission... And that's it

@@pako-nsgs Thanks, I'd aim to take as much from the Celica as possible so the harness will come from the 2ZZ, can I take that ECU as well or not?

​@@pako-nsgs I've arranged for someone to remove the 2ZZ from the Celica for me in exchange for them keeping the rest of the car, so just to confirm everything I need from the Celica is: 2ZZ engine, transmission, harness and ECU? I'll be there whilst they do it, is there anything I need to make sure they do or don't do whilst removing it all?

hi mate is 2zz from auto is fine to use swap to original 2zz manual? just blew up my engine and found local seller sell 2zz from automatic

@@AmbrosiniLucas yeap...engine is the same for both cars... Ecu is different, but I think all sensors shall be the same for the harness to connect
