What's so special about the 40th Anniversary 4Runner? Is it worth $48,000.00 or should you get a TRD off road? I don't know the answer to that question but I can show you why I chose the 40th Anniversary 4Runner to get me though the next 500,000 miles.‪@roadto500kmiles‬

I purchased the same white limited. The dealer optioned it with TRD exhaust and skid plate. Also added locking safe.

@@dexteww just under 45k. I was working for a dealership at the time so I was able to get some serious discounts. Personally I think they are overpriced in regards to tech and features but the reliability and longevity there is not much else out there that will last like the 4Runner

I have a 40th anniversary 4 runner. It’s a 2023 TRD off road premium in lunar rock. Has everything the 40th anniversary should have. Best thing is. I paid for what I wanted and not an sr5 with some stripes badges and bronze wheels. But you can’t go wrong with any trim as the engine tranny will last a long time.

So far, I’ve only put on rock rails and painted the calipers. I just purchased a new skid plate with oil drain plug and filter access doors on it which should be here in about three or four weeks. After that, I’m considering a lift.

you are very lucky, I can't find any dealerships willing to even go below MSRP let alone at MSRP which is still not really a good deal if we are comparing it to pre covid sales I remember 4runners were getting discounted 1500-2500 on average.

@@NCblue95 don’t I know it. It seems that Toyota still has more demand than they do supply with regards to all of their vehicles, except sedans and full-size trucks. When I worked at the dealer, hybrid SUVs and anything with a manual transmission was almost a year long waiting list.

Dash material is not special to the 40th anniversary addition. This is an SR5 Premium with an appearance package and not worth the money. I looked at both and the TRD Off Road was by far a better deal.

Got mine close to $3K less than MSRP and there are 1333 of each color ever made plus it’s got dope bronze wheels and it’s the LAST of this vehicle to be made before the 2024 changes…So it’s dope and wasn’t a bit overpriced. Maybe it will be worth extra in 10 years actually.

Unfortunately no. The 40th anniversary edition does not have the 360 surround view. It is the only model for 2023 that does not allow for any add on packages.
