On this weekend drive, I have the Toyota Altezza. It's one of the JDMs that I really wanted to try. Today I have a great example of an Altezza to drive to Sekinchan. Join me in this talk and drive review.

One of the besttttt underated JDMs that are bang for buck. Weight distribution is amazing because apparently it was designed to be 50/50 weight distribution. Fun fact was engineered by the same man who engineered the supra Mk4 and ae86

Own Altezza for 10 years..and is truly underrated. Had soo much fun...with it on road and track.. Very strong chassis...bullet proof 3SGE

Very under rated car. The only affordable JDM in the market right now. Akio Toyoda raced with this during the early days

Yep! RWD front engine and a sweet chassis. Alot going on for a winning formula of a drivers car.

Sat in a good fren's auto Altezza before and even test drove another that was on sale. In short, its probably one of the best balance as a daily (compact like a E46), but has enuf punch delivered in linear NA power delivery from the rev happy 3SGE Beams paired in a nice FR layout. Sweet ride to own.

The spongy clutch is a combo of the damper in the fluid line and a dual mass flywheel. They sold a watch when the car was on-sale that matched the chronograph cluster. I love my IS300, eyes open for a good shell for a 3S-GE beams swap.

I have 2, both 3SGE but doing a build on one swapping with the 3S GTE ST246 and doing a manual conversion as well. Look to eventually crank up the power out of it but the other one will remain stock

@@ThomasYap it's really a great car, good balance, nice power, great sound if you set it up right and a good platform for modding, particularly if you're doing it for yourself, you most likely won't make back the money you throw into it in resale but then again with cars how often do you lol.

I have one with the blitz supercharger for me it’s better than my previous 2JZGTE and NA-T IS300s as a daily drivers much better on gas and just feels a bit lighter.

eyeing this car if i ever need to buy a car, i just think its more worthy compared to cars in the same price market like our local entry cars around 40-50k. I dont mind it being older than those new entry level cars, for what its worth, Altezza just obviously seems a better choice and I do not mind maintaining cars like this unless its hard and pricey to maintain(had not done much research on the reliability and maintanence). Idk just kept thinking if Im gonna get a first car thats affordable and better be a sedan so its better when starting a family and I thought, there's new Saga and also there is Altezza hahahahah 🤣

Haha I’d do the same. Get the tezza instead of the saga and live with the upkeep of it. 😝 because at the end I know I’ll remember driving the tezza with great memories. Priceless

They should be available but maybe not too cheap. IMHO I'm not the best person to answer this as I don't own one. Best to check with other owners.
