Thanks for the video - much appreciated. You're right about UK cars and amount of salt that goes on roads, especially here in Scotland. Corrosion makes every job much harder than it should be and even modern cars rust away eventually.

take the disc off and place it on the ground and then just cable tie the caliper to the suspension spring. lots of room then.

@@cardiyrepair well boss all i can say the way things are going coming to cars keep the avensis and do repairs like you are doing and drive the Toyota into the ground .i love watching your videos about these toyota avensis as i am going to do that intake manifold and egr clean out this year when the weather gets good .love to se your vidoes on how many miles you can put up oon this car maybe 500k as i seen a few high milage toyota forum on how there is a page on toyota and how many miles put up on them its class to see. another thing i would advise as tbh it comes from past cars i had i think maybe you would be better buying quality toyota parts to put back on as those old regular motor factor parts do not last one bit at all as i found out in my older vw group cars

hello sir,galway viewer here :) recently started watching your videos and I love them very very informative and high quality,was just wondering did you have any issues with your DPF filter? i recently had to replace all 4 of my fuel injectors,mine does this thing where it puts out blueish/white smoke but its not burning any oil or coolant whatsoever,one or two mechanics told me it could be that my DPF is detrioating and may need replacing and another told me that my EGR and intake manifold could be coked up with carbon,any idea or help would be greatly appreciated :) great videos sir,keep up the great work :)
@cardiyrepair2 жыл бұрын
Hello M S and thank you for your comment and support, well regarding the build up in the intake manifold and or EGR best way is to take off the EGR pipe and then remove the EGR unit undo the 2 bolts and 2 nuts on it and slide off and you will soon enough see what’s the blockage if any and from that point if clogged cleaning like i did is easy enough but only expensive problem could be the diesel injector pipes might need replacing if over tighten in the past depending on how many need replaced if any! there is 5 but in my case i was lucky all were not over tighten but it’s a possible issue apart from intake gasket not many costs to be considered, as for the DPF you can get them taken out cut open and the honeycomb centre removed and welded back up and is much cheaper then a replacement DPF as they are expensive , but it the DPF is a problem usual the car goes into limp mode at a certain speed so I’d guess it’s coked up but if you were closer I’d definitely help you but definitely just open the EGR and investigate bud :)

@M S, I get the occasional cloud of that smoke when on the motorway. I just thought it was the dpf burning off/ regenerating when up to temperature. It does it for a bit then stops. Is that what happens to yours? Cheers
