Toyota B2799 No Start

Ironically, I had the same issue after swapping out the ECU for another issue. Also had codes P0351-P0356. Ended up being the fuse for the fuel injection. Fortunately, I figured it out before tearing out the dash. Just sharing in case someone else ever runs across a similar problem. The lesson in both cases is to start with the basics when it comes to electronics and assume nothing.

I have the same issue but my grounds man issue was after removing the alarm. Mobilizer sometimes doesn't recognize the key sometimes it does. No power to my fuel pump from the ecu

If you're referring to the yellow wire piercing tool, that's a Pomona brand. AESWAVE.COM has many styles. That's where I get most of my stuff

any tips on what to trouble shoot with code b2788 2009 toyota camry dash does not light up on start and the fan kicks in and the car does not crank Ordered a new ECU and was gone see if thats the issue.

I’m having a similar issue I have a 08 sienna tbat starts with key on Acc I split the circuit in half but I think it’s a grounded to power ignition

I have the same code after ECU swapping and new key programmed to the ECU I never had this problem before so now I'm wondering if it's the ECU causing this code or the immobilizer itself🤔

Well done. If you want to improve set up some bad grounds of varying resistance and check the brightness of the bulb. A bulb is good for load testing a circuit but if you want to be more accurate measure the voltage dropped across the bulb. The actual voltage dropped is a more accurate indication of whether there is excessive losses to wiring. The bulb is required to make the voltage drops materialize though. 👍

I have the same code on a 2006 Lexus GS 300 Cranks turns on for 3 seconds then shuts right off I get code B2799 if I leave the ignition on after cranking it but if I shut off the ignition right away I don’t get any codes The previous owner replaced the immobilizer & the ECM security light is off I did the smart reset and I tried the 45 minutes pin jump and still nothing

@@enhatrindo7680 Hi after a year on and off I finally got it to start I purchased a new immobilizer from eBay then jumped pin# 4 & 13 for 30 minutes and it started right up
