X-mode and Grip control:
The driver can choose from different X-MODE settings which tailor performance for snow/mud; deep snow and mud (speeds below 20 km/h); and provide Grip Control for more challenging off-road driving (speeds below 10 km/h).
Using X-MODE with Grip Control allows the driver to concentrate on accurate steering, with the system taking care of vehicle speed when traveling downhill, uphill, or on the level. The driver can also use the car’s Downhill Assist Control for similar assistance when traveling downhill.
Engage Snow/Dirt Mode with X-MODE to enhance vehicle stability and improve traction on slippery, dirt surfaces. This mode also tackles softer road surfaces covered by heavy snow, providing more vehicle stability by automatically positioning the tires to slip in a way that clears away snow or mud. And in downhill situations that require the driver to apply heavy braking, Downhill Assist Control helps maintain a constant speed to allow the driver to concentrate on steering.

I have one and the subaru tuned AWD and the ground clearance are both excellent attributes. Also I just got the USDM update and it now has smaller bottom buffer on the pack, shows SOC on the dash and is supposed to have better charging performance!

Any chance to do the same test in a dry sand? Wet sand is much easier to drive in, so this test does not show very well what are the real capabilities of the car.

Based on videos testing on the German autobahn the bz4X can hit 170kph, though there might be differences between FWD and AWD performance as well as different markets.

Toyota sold 1487 bz4x in china in 2022 and they only started selling the car in the middle of 2022. Doing the math they are selling a lot more than a 100 a month. And in 2023 they would sell a lot more. Toyota sold close to 5000 units in the first quarter 2023 in china

If you are talking about efficiency, combined hgwy+city in SUV category. Only Tesla Model Y(AWD, Long Range AWD, RWD) gets more Le/km. If you are looking at whole bev category then only Lucid air touring and pure, Ioniq 6, Model Y and 3 are the only ones more efficient than bz4x. They match Model S, EV6, Bolt EV and EUV. It still more efficient than ID4, Ioniq 5, Model X, Mach E and everything from BMW and Audi.
