Wow! What a glorious sound of pure excitement and power!!! I have the exact same model in red. Mine has the 22R engine though! Can't wait to put some domed pistons, some side draft webbers, camshafts, double titanium springs and a lighten flywheel! My car is gonna fly baby!!! Love my little red dragon! X^} 3

I have the same engine with a quaife close ratio box and 50dcoe webers and the sound realy resembles this one

@rtmdeuf the engine is a 152E, 18RG based but 16v version.. With the old Nippon Mech FI, they were nearly 300hp @ 9800.. I think these gents are running with 50mm side drafts though..

@@justaguy5484 Yes, more like 7500 rpm in rally trim. In raceway versions, on track they were tuned more towards 8000. The sibling engine based on the 2TG, the 151E were rated to 9000. And the smaller 3K-R based 137E spun seriously high near 10,500rpm in racing form in Japan! They really screamed in those KP47 Starlets!

Probably a bad ignition coil. Also check the alternator output and condition and timing of the distributor too.
