One of the best things about making all my videos is that I can look back and see all of the work I have done and what I have achieved. I hope you enjoy this little recap as much as I do :)

It’s been lovely making this journey with you. Thanks so much for sharing. I’m loving what you’re achieving and wish you all the very best for 2023! I have almost finished my coach build and it’s for sale with the hopes of starting a coaster build in the new year. I’ll definitely be referring to your videos for some much needed advise. Take care and see you next year!

I absolutely love the fact you are doing this for just you and your dog! You've given me some great inspo for the years ahead building my bus for my and my pup 🐶 Too many 'couple' bus conversion videos out there make me cringe, I love how you have the dog area at the passenger side, I was just thinking of that and your idea looks great! Love your work :)

Thanks! I often wish I had another person with me to hold the camera as it would make filming so much easier LOL! But I'm happy that it is just me and my dog :) I wish there were more Aussie solo bus lifers on KZbin. I wish you all the best for your bus build. It is certainly a wonderful adventure.

You do such a thorough job! Such an inspiration. We are currently converting a Nissan civilian bus. Where did you get your window tinting done? Are you happy with it? We are also SE Qld and looking to replace window seals and tinting next TIA
@AGirlADogandABus Жыл бұрын
Hi Amanda. I had my windows tinted at a local panel beaters in Ipswich. They did a good job and I'm happy with the quality of their work, but to be honest, I don't think I would bother with tinting again. It does make the inside of the bus darker and my biggest problem is that they used polarised film (which I didn't even know was a thing) and the way they've done it means that when two panes of glass are in front of each other, there is total blackout. So if I open a window, I can't see out of the half that has the glass on it. It ruins the view. I have the same problem if the side door is open in front of the window behind it. If I was to get tinting again I would make sure they did NOT do it this way. Also, the tint is useless at night as it stops you from seeing outside (all I see is reflections of inside) but everyone else can see inside your bus. So you still need curtains anyway. I'm actually thinking of removing the tint from the two main windows on the passenger side, but I will see how much money I have left when everything else is finished.

@@AGirlADogandABus thank you so much for the response appreciate your honesty and attention to detail. Yes we have heard a few negatives but tinting too (which surprised me) mostly in regards to it makes the windows hot and thus maki g bus hot

Great job. Wondering about the electrical - did you install behind the "side walls?" If not, why and what instead?
@AGirlADogandABus Жыл бұрын
No I didn't. The only electrical wires that I have currently in the bus (aside from the bus electrics) are the ones from my Maxxair fans in the roof. They run behind the ceiling boards down to the side of the bus. They are the only wires that will be behind the walls. I want all of my electrical to be fully accessible so will be running all my wiring in conduit on the inside. It will be mostly hidden inside back of cabinets and under furniture. All my lighting will be either on side walls or under overhead cabinets, so no need for wires in the ceiling.

Your build looks so good and this video was so insightful! Can I ask what mm foilboard you used and roughly how many boards you needed?
@AGirlADogandABus2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Emma! I used 6 sheets of 25mm and about 2/3 sheet of 15mm (over some of the windows at the back)

This is professional.....amazing job for first timer 😮 you got the neck of it. May i ask how much did that all cost in materials? Im planning to do one myself. First timer too
@AGirlADogandABus11 ай бұрын
I have spent about $40,00 all up so far. That includes electrical, plumbing and appliances etc. I will be doing a full cost breakdown video in a few months when the build is totally finished

how did you attach the timber batons?

I glued them with sika and also screwed them into the metal frame of the bus. I showed it in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZezg3mqfM2tiZI

Love the video! Looking at doing the same. Do you know what the process is with registering it so you can drive it with a C class license? Do you have to remove all the extra seats to bring the weight down then they assess the weight and approve it as being under 4.5 ton?
@AGirlADogandABus8 ай бұрын
I don't know the exact process of getting a coaster downgraded sorry because I've never done it. You would need to speak with an approved modification inspector in your state to find out. I actually increased my GVM to be able to carry more.

Thinking you should sell me this coaster when it's finished??😂😂
