My experience with BC BR coilovers on my 04 Matrix XRS
The coilovers themselves are not bad at all. Comfortable, yet firm.
They are limited by the lack of adjustability with the E130 Chassis.

Hello, I was thinking going to Toyota Fest. To pick your brain. I was thinking about BC but your review question me. So, now I’m debating on BC or Megan. Funny is back in 2003 I took the Matrix to Willow Spring track. Since, I was at a private event. I’m currently rebuilding my whole Engine bay at the moment My family have 03 XRS 135k been leaking for years. Finally decided to fix the leak and I went down the rabbit hole. Hahaha Freaking upgrade all lightweight pulleys. Upgrade the whole engine bay 🫣 with all ultra racing strut bar. over Plus, I had a pair of LS460 projector for over 10yrs. It was for my GS400.

Currently, my Engine head is being overhauled and new Cosmo head gasket.

What's up bro, you should roll through! So far the BCs have been great the biggest flaw isn't necessarily with the coilovers themselves, it's the suspension design of the chassis. If the roll center/ rear camber and toe can be corrected, it will probably handle better. I'm currently working on that part and will post a video as well I 100% support the projector retrofit. I still have my oem headlights from my is350 that I was gonna use, but just went with a kit from theretrofitsource

I thought about the irs rear set up too, I would be interested in seeing it and if it’s actually possible. I’ve also toyed with the idea of frs/brz/gt86 seats

It looks like part of the irs would have to be shaved and brackets need to be fabricated because mounting is completely different 🤔. I have roll center adjusters coming in and hoping between that and the rear shims it can at least be better

@@Ma70rk hmm interesting, I haven’t seen a 4wd in person yet but I was assuming that all matrix would have the mounting spots still available or covered at least maybe 04+ models. I’ll have to get lucky at pick n pull and try to mock it up there.

@Sittnslideways that's where I was comparing the celica gts and matrix 😂 I'm always looking out for a 4wd to come through the yard, but looking at parts diagrams, it looks like different mounting points for the subframe. Would completely transform our chassis tho

@Sittnslideways yeah not sure why they didn't put it in the xrs. Not like they had to completely redesign things. Lmao but true, just a few things to really contend with Honda
