He started off good telling you how to remove it. After you remove the screws, and pry open the front and side panels, pull out the headliner through the front right door. Get a large wire brush from the Dollar store, and scrub all the old foam off. It should take at least 30 minutes to clean if you work fast. Then choose your soft thin fabric, and buy some 3M headliner adhesive. Spray glue on the headliner, then apply your fabric.

@@official1samuel577 do you recommend commet cement ( mightve misspelled the name of the brand) to hold the fabric and headliner board together? Maybe just stick with an adhesive spray? Also my car i pretty only have two headliner clips or retainer clips holding it up I need more clips but I don't wanna purchase online and it be the wrong ones. Any suggestions on that? Thanks for responding.

hey dude why not take the whole head liner out then use 3m spray glue then fit the fabric on yo the headliner makes you job a lot easyer just saying.
@krissandoval12306 жыл бұрын
Pretty good job. Maybe spray adhesive wouldve been better. Kinda costy but better results.

the question is where to purchase the headliner? Ebay, autozone, advanced auto, rockauto? what is the toyota has a sunroof, just cut a portion out for the sunroof panel and glue it directly to it?
@official1samuel577 Жыл бұрын
you can find headliner material on ebay but i got it from walmart - make sure to use glue from a spray can - a sunroom will make it much harder so try to find a direct fit for your car

I apologize bro. That wasn’t cool of me. Only way to learn is to do. And I really respect you for trying to help others learn along the way. It’s not like my lazy butt is willing to post a video myself. I had a stick up my butt because I was having a hard time with mine LOL Just out of curiosity, did that glue hold up?

@jordanthistle23604 жыл бұрын
So many things done incorrectly, first off that foam is on a board that board is supposed to be taken down then you reupholster is and put it back in. Wrong type of glue, you need to use fabric glue that is meant for car fabric because as soon as it gets hot out that glue is going to soften and it will start falling down. The thumb tacs are going to leave holes in the fabric making it easy for air to get in and over the top. Please leave this stuff to professionals.
